Hi Everyone!

I'd just like to introduce myself: I'm Raro Starrunner on Corbantis and today I just became a Master BE. While I was working up to master, I kept some notes (using the handy in-game notepad: /notepad)on how much xp different creatures give (it seems to be dependent on creature level, if i had master scout still - i would try to figure out the formula for it).

My favorite way to get DNA sampling xp wasgettingvoritor tracker missions on dantooine (they are agro but don't deathblow). Right now, these missions usually pay 13 or 14k and I could get them in a group with two or three other people or with 70 lvls of pets (a bol and a delerious merek avenger).

Here are afew from Naboo:

Gnorts, chubas and spineflaps - about worthless.. maybe 60-100

Gualamas - average is about 140-170 (gotta sample in order, dappled & bachelors first as they will protect any patriarches and elders in the group if you fail and either agros you)

Peko Peko - about the same as a gualama

Giant Peko Peko - 254

Falumpaset - 210

Bolle Bol - 299

I have yet to successfully sample a Fambaa, and I haven't bothered with the agro swamp cats, tusk cats or narglatches.

One question though...do these number stay the same through-out your career? For example: If I were to sample a Boar Wolf at novice BE for 287 xp, would I still get the same amount at say...DNA Sampleing IV?

Yes, you get the same amount of xp per sample success, regardless of your Sampling level. But...! You can sample more often and succeed more the higher in skill you go. The downside to this is that doing so multiple times from the same animal is very likely to make it bite your arse off. If you ever see the ? or ! over its head after sampling, move onto a different critter in the area until that first one settles down. Prone critters are easiest to sample.

Fambaa were about 430xp each when I started doing DNA Sampling outside Kaadara.

As for the formula, this isn't exact but it will give you a very good idea of the actual creature level of the critter you are sampling. Take the experience given, round down, divide by 10 and you will get the creature level. Usually within a +/- 3 CL of the actual creature level.

These give 662 XP. I am at Master level so the failed times may have been due your level 2 sampling... While they do deathblow I usually corpse them before it comes to that.. sometime only get 2 samples but they are usually very nice samples!

The Necropost is a truely hideous beast. I want a dna sample for my new CL10 recipe.
