from what was posted about the changes going in for creature handler they are reducing the modifiers on what can be called down toonly the pet level. i dont know what effect that would have on the nonch but the situation should no longercome upwhere there is a conflict between total levels allowed and taming viscous such as with graul maulers.

kel never mentioned anything about viscious creatures that i know of. we dont know if we add armor or certain resists to a creature or a certain amount of damage or anything to a creature or even use a certain creature's DNA if it will switch it to viscious, or if all BE creatures will be non-viscious, or if it will be based on the creature body type we choose. this could be something we may have to look out for.

"To compensate for the lop-sided power-progression (two trees giving you more powerful pets and the other two trees only giving you the ability to train the pets with commands that are of questionable utility since you can just get a fully-trained pet from someone else) the skills have been re-distributed across the skill tree. Also, there used to be six different skillmods which determine whether you can tame or call a particular pet. That will be changed and now there will be only one skillmod which will tell players what level pet they can summon."

While it's possible that the concept of viscious creatures will no longer be a factor (i've never seen a point of that anyway) I'd say since the clones are empty shells until we give them substance then they'll all be non-aggresive.

basically im wondering if all our creatures will be non-viscuous ()or if visciousness will be affected by something else. im sure you guys can see how this might affect our business (granted, maybe not a great deal). if anyone has any insight into this please post. i am really really hoping it wont be based on creature "appearance" selected. i guess we wont know for sure until its dropped onto test center.

kova, it says "there will be only one skillmod determining what lvl of pet a CH can call," it says nothing about viscious/non-viscious creatures, which is what im pondering here.

tal-n, i hope so. right now its all based on the type of creature we make, im hoping that kel didnt neglect to remove the viscious stat from the clones that have it if its not something that will be based on crafting.

please explain howif there is only going to be one skillmod used to determine whether a pet can be tamed or called how viscous/non-aggressive is even relevant for clones anymore

It looks like our changes will go in at the same time as the CH ones. I wondered about how aggressive creatures would be handled also. From the skin or from the DNA? I think it is good news if we don't have to worry about this.
