Thread: Changing CL?

I have heard that we, the BE's, can change the CL of our creations. How does this work? Is it only dependant on how strong our creature is, or is it experimented down?

Thanks

Its a pipe-dream of ours. Not in game. No word on when it might be in game. Though if you read the latest patch notes on test center, the type of DNA might be how its done. I know I'm still trying to digest what was said there and what it means to us.

It's all based on the DNA and what it came from. Since the system is currently broken on the TC we're unable to get any firm details but it appears that the quality of the same degrades the CL that the sample contains. Thus if you sample a CL50 critter and get only average quality and you filled up a clone with samples the same as that then you'd end up with a CL45 or similar critter rather than a CL50 or higher one. I don't think you can experiment them down unless your a master bio-engineer though.

Means that you'll end up hitting the minimal CL cap for the Rancor but probably with the stats of a Gnort. So in effect you'd have a Rancor which is alot weaker than the CL rating suggests. Taking a rough guesstimate on the minimum CL rating you could end up with a CL20 Rancor with 200 HAM ,15 damage and no resistances Plus it'd be the size of a Bantha

that is friggin sweet lmao i might take up BE now, so theoretically you could have a house placable sized rancor or a noob CH pet that is a dwarf of high end that is very cool , now you guys need to be able to craft averything

Right well what I'm doing is basing estimates on the ability to half the CL rating roughly from how they appear typically in the wild. I say this because there is indeed CL20 Rancor Youths already in the wild so if the devs think thats fair then I'd imagine the BEs can make the equivilent. The one exception to this is theKimogila Hatchlings which are CL20 however I don't think we'll be seeing CL20 Kimogila cause a drop from 90 to 20 is huge plus it'd mean that the MCHs don't have an exclusive species soI think Kimogila will drop to around CL40 to CL50 as their minimum.

As for the deeds, I dunno. They might display how the final creature looks and if so I intend make a wide variety of 'minitures' to make the most from the space in my showroom.

I don't know, no word on whether deeds will reflect actual size, but they're not entirely accurate now. My dewback deed shows green although the tamed dewback is red, and the tamed gurrcat is much smaller than the deed gurrcat. Would be nice from a display standpoint, smaller sizes so they fit in the room, or for displaying color variations.
