Thread: We'd better keep our eyes on these rare babies.

I don't know about you, but I did not become a master BE so that I could make second rate pets. From the start I wanted to create and command the best pets in the game and so I've worked for 6 months to make it to master CH, master BE, and now I'm working on master scout and will pursue part of ranger so that my BE abilities are used to the max. If it turns out that rare babies exceed in any way what we are able to make as master BE using the best resources available then I'm really going to be disappointed. I know it's early and there is a lot of info still coming in. I just wanted to encourage us all to stay tuned to the CH boards so that if we get wronged on this one we'll make some serious noise.

Such a lame attitude. Just chill and see how things develop before always running off and hitting the nerf macro on your toolbar.

legendary weapons, rare drop, better than any weaponsmith can make

I think rare pets should be the best too, gives a creature handler something to look forward too.

Once I have my "perfect" trifecta, and "perfect" duo, and "perfect" singleton from a BE I will never need another BE pet, all about rares at that point. I have and old school graul mauler with 97/100 ... I know some people just use and abuse their pets, but I respect and love mine.

fyi, you spent 6 months getting master BE, when BE pets sucked compaired to wilds... you will be dissapointed if 2% of the CH's have better than you can make ... ROFLOL... man for a BE your mentality changed fast... raggs to riches hehe.

Hes worried that CH's will get what they are whining for, believe me i worry about the samet hing sometimes. So far it seems at least that the rare babies are friggin RARE. The only bad thing i can see is that with pets that have dozens of lives before they become useless our repeat buisness is next to nil. Eventually CH's will have no more need for us.

If you buy a weapon from a weaponsmith then in about 3 weeks to a month your probably going to need to replace it (if you use it constantly). So you buy another weapon.

CH's however can just buy one of our pets and some Vit packs and be set for a year. But i dont think that will ever be changed, they talked about making permadeath for pets, and it wasnt very popular to say the least.

ch's have never gotten anything they have asked for... nerfed every major patch since live... the most we have gotten is a reduction in nerfage when we scream til our lungs bleed.

dont worry about CH's getting what we want we never do.

Although the rare high end babies may be the only things that can exceed the 60% kinetic cap, or are able to have AOE specials (frenzied graul on both), there are simply no wild creatures that have light armor and high resists in the 23-35 range (needed for 2-3 pet combos).

Although some of the pets might be better in some instances, most good BE pets will be better in all other instances. The continuing market is basically assured.

I don't have a problem with rare babies being better than the animals I can make...as long as they are rare. I'll still have creature handlers asking me for a CL30 blurrg that compares to a CL50 so they can have two out at the same time. I'll still have non-creature handlers asking me to make a bearded jax that spits strong poison. I'll still have tissues and pet meds. Rare babies aren't going to impact my business very much.

I would say however, I completely understand the sentiment of the original poster. Bio-engineers have been borked and ignored for months and months. We were given a nice patch that makes our profession useful finally. So when you hear a BE say they are worried things will go back the way they were with us making second rate animals take it for what its worth.

Calling people lame and an ass probably isn't helping your creature handler cause a whole lot either. Just a little FYI

I call a spade a spade, and CH's have had to deal with nerf callers since day one (and justifiably so for the first 5 nerfs, but not the consiquent 3 nerfs)

If someone is an @ss and is screaming about nerfing something that we are not sure even exists yet... you are going to get what you give, and that is no respect.

I like bio's, always have. I have always felt you guys got gyped, I am happy that you guys are a fun usefull class now... to the origional poster though I wish a million nerfs, can they nerf a PLAYER... not a class... I hope so.

Of all the lame ideas! It is this type of hysteria that gets villagers burned at the stake. Calling nerf on something that you have never seen before.....

I'm sure that you felt slightly left out because there was no room on the last nerf bandwagon. But that doesn't mean that you should start a new one. Pay attention to your own class. Increase your own skills, worry about yourself.

Well i dont know about anyone here but I am going to try and create an UBER-KIMA.

Thats right I want it to shoot, and have posion and disease and all of that.

Becasue as a Bio_Engineer, I would rather have a super Frankenstein version of something then some uber rare creature that may or may not be anything special.

And besides...Kimas are cute....I love the MEOW that they do.

Yazule, it appears you and I simply havedifferent expectations for this game. That's all good in my mind but here are a few reasons why Ithink the uber lewt approach is a poor design decision. Given that the devs have taken all this effort to implement an elaborate crafting aspect to this game, it just doesn't make sense to me that all of this can be short-circuited by the addition of uber lewt in general, including rare babies. After reading all your posts carefully I still don't think I can see any good argument as to why someone who has committed months of playtime as well as a significant percentage of their limited skill points to a crafting discipline should not be a needed part of the high end game. I and many of us only stuck with this profession expecting it to be something that rare babies may shortcircuit in the long run (especially since pets don't decay over time). Notice I did acknowledge in my original post that information is still coming in and that I didn't actually call for a nerf of anything. Maybe they'll surprise me and add pet slicing to our repertoire thereby keeping both rare babies and some function for master BEs at the high end. If something like that happens then BE would still be needed to have the best pets in the game. I think I could live with a solution like that. And for the record I'm glad you disagree anddespite your ill will toward me, I don't wish on you any personal nerfs. Peace Out.

WOW, Leeno I think you miss the point of being a Ch and BE but you sure do make a great nerf caller. Thanks again for calling for a nerf. May the critical failure be with you.
