Thread: A couple of questions and my new pet!
First off i love BE, just started and its really cool, one of the few thigns where u can be quite good from the off.
1. Can u create a >cl10 with specials and have a Non-CH use it? I've heard you cant 
2. Am i right in thinking the first two things in the template are for ham & resists, then next two are for very little and the last 1 is for attack and specials?
3. Look at the cool pet i made, i think the lower quality DNA used helps keep the CL down

Yes you can, how else do you think the wild animals until CL10 have specials? Only last night i made a CL8 Shearmite for my wife which had blinding strike and stunning strike.

All of the slots effect all of the stats, the first slot is the most of what determines the resists and HAM, followed my aggression and prowess. Mental and Phsy determine around the last 25%-30%. Agression and mental determine the specials and we can't seem to quite narrow down why sometimes the mental ones stick while the agreesion doesn't. On the whole though aggression determines the specials around 80% of the time. Things like ranged come from phsych.
As for that pet, i think you need to remember to keep the HAM much lower. I'll try to put this as delicately as possible but people have much much better CL10-15 pets because they boosted the resistances to kinetic to around 50% to 60% with a few trade offs.
Can i ask which slots effect what? I just want to know ho wdo you make a CL 10 pet. I just started BE and can't seem find out what all the properties mean and how it effects the creature. Can someone help me out?
