Don't mind the one-starring children.

I've had moderate success in mixing specials. Put theDNA with special attack 2 that you want to keep in aggression. Get 4 DNA with the special attack 1 that you want to keep in all the other slots. This usually works for me. You may have to do it a few times to get it to work, but once you've got a clone, you can sample it for DNA samples with the special attack mixture you want.

Also try to use VHQ samples on samples you deem important. Seems to have an impact on whether something sticks or not.

I have not found a good sure fire way to mix your specials - i have found that if i like a particular dna samples specials then i put them into Mind and Aggression and they always stick. Ie if i use Vexed Voritor Lizard, Mountain Wort, Mountain Dewback all have Knockdown-Dizzy - i always get KD n Dizzy no matter what else i have in the other slots. I use www.swgcreatures.com to get a list of the best pets with specials that i want. Remeber that many of the AOE attacks (Plague Strike,Force Strike etc) will not stick no matter what you do.

well, from my experiments, I've had a 95% success rate using this method.

For keeping specials: use 2 of the same dna type for aggression, and psychological. I have noticed however, that it doesn't work with certain specials, namely the force strike. I suppose we're not meant to have it. I've tried several times in the past week.Works with everything but the AOEs.

On a side note, I've also figured out a minor calculation for the HAM of the final product when experimenting. If you multiply any of the 3 defining stats by 18, the result will be a very close estimate of what the final HAM will be with that number.
