Thread: BE in a PA. What do you get? What do you give?

Anyone have any novel ideas on your role in a PA? At this point I can't even give away any creatures to PA members. I'm looking for a Tailor. I'm mostly just making Vitality packs for them. And trying to get them to find me high OQ meat.

We have two BE Master in our PA (I am one) and mostly we just give out pets in exchange for resources. For example, I'll make a gurrek in exchange for 50000 Radioactives. I also make a lot of stimpacks but I usually sell these.

As I'm also a Master CH I'll be more than likely be supplying all my PA members with a free mount (most likely a Kaduu).

I haven't really dabbled that much in Tissues, although we do have several tailors. I've found that finding the resources for Tissues to be pretty painful. Any tips in this regard? We do have a Central Mining Ops but these guys concentrate more on our Weaponsmiths needs.

I get tons of organic supplies, lots of referral business (we have a guild mall), extra lots from players who do not use theirs, tons of great people to talk to and play with, ...well, I get about anything I need really . In return I offer free pets, pet meds, free tissues to our tailors for them to make guild clothing, my spare resources, my utter confusion during faction base tear-downs, etc.. We're a pretty mature much of players that make up a primarily PvP Rebel guild, so we all do our part to make ourselves a better community and fighting force.

I have trouble keeping up with the demand from my PA. At the time being i am the only master BE we have, so i get requests for Vit Pack's, Stim Pack's, Pet's, and Cloths.

Add to that the tells/emails or general questions from the server populace and it means im a very busy little BE.

I take the time to make all our master CH's Rancor's, and most of the medium CH's all want Razor Cats. So when im not crafting im DNA sampling. It all gets provided to them for free. In turn they give me the weapons and cloths that i need to survive..

Oh yeah... forgot to add that I work with the guild's Doctors and Scout/Rangers to respectively get nice schematics and find the best in new creature harvest rotations. The Artisans and I all share our findings for mine-able resources, as well.

I went from a member to leading the PA. For the most part I only supply pet stims and vitality packs. I give everything away to family. In return I have gotten any help that I have ever needed. I was given a ton of meat when I was working my way to master. One member in the family does all my surveying for me and emails me waypoints. Others bring me high quality meat and stuff all the time. I give all my tissue to our tailor who in return gives me a split of the profit. My vendor is in a friends house as he had a large house where I only had a small, etc. etc. etc.

Being in a family is great. Many times it just depends on which type of guild you join. Some people like myself like small-mid size guilds where I know everyone. Others like large guilds for the advantage of numbers.

I'm relatively new to my guild, and not a master yet (I think I have 6 boxes plus master left), so my perspective might be a little different. I've found that a large part of what I'm doing is educational right now--letting the chefs and tailors know what BE tissues can do for them, what I can provide in terms of custom creatures, etc. Because of the dangerous nature of our profession, I've got a decent amount of skill with a pistol, so I go out on field missions from time to time (it's a great change of pace, a chance to find some interesting DNA, and great bonding with the rest of the PA). Witch hunting on Dathomir is not something I'd normally do as a BE!

I tend to agree that intra-guild trade should be free; I'm getting a massive amount of resources, but also contributing a portion of my harvesters (especially power, I always end up with more than I need).

The game has become much more enjoyable for me since I joined my guild.

Well, I've been in a large PA for about a month new. I quickly found someone in the PA with a vendor, so that I could use it for selling my petstims in crates. Finally, I'm making real money.

I found out while talking with this guy that he is an armorsmith/tailor. I've started making tissues for him with my factory. I've had one guy offer (in guild chat) that he and his friends hunt frequently, and always have bio-resources to give away to people in the guild. I wrote an email to him, and haven't really gotten any meaningful response.

I've started making kaadus. I'm thinking about making a backpack 'o kaadus, and take it with me to the next guild meeting, and ask people to grow them in their datapads. Then, when mounts come out, our guild will be the 'leet-est guild out there. (maybe this isn't such a good idea afterall.)

Other than that, I pretty much just go hunting with them, or attend PvP fests. I'm always the first to die. I do these PvP fest once a week, so that I always remember that BE is a crafting profession.

I've been using my money to power some large mineral harvesters. I donated 57k metal to my guild this last week. I've donated ore in the past. Hopefully, this will go a long way to making city stuff for when player cities come out.
