Thread: Fair pricing?

I am a relatively new MBE and making a my first run of pet Stim Cs in a large quantity.

The schematic is 32/1091. I have looked at the prices of singles on the bazaar, and they seem way over priced. The variety of prices were all over the place.

My question is, what is a fair price for a crate of 50?

Thanksin advance for any input

Nice stims!!

I'd charge 175000cr for a crate of 50 of those. I use the formula charges x heal power x .1

This is on Sunrunner, so your milage may vary, but I regularly sell out of stims. None of mine have been so nice though as our dathomirian insect meat has been yuck for 3 shifts now

Thanks!

XpNsVe, nice site. I will bookmark it

Well, that is two people that charge the same way for pet stims, anyone else use a different formula?

Does a 32/1091 stim prices at roughly 3500 credits sound right? It sounds a bit pricey to me, but I dunno, I guess that is why I asked....

Xade you are on radiant, could you tell me how you price yours?

I normally sell mine at 2500 a stim individually and 2000 in bulk (10 or more). I don't have a magical formula for mine. I just make sure that the price covers my expenses and makes me a handy profit in the process. For mine, I currently factor in 10cpu on Dath Insect Meat, 2cpu on fiberplast, and 250 per advanced sub component and 100 for regular sub components.

I seem to remember this worked out as about 1k per stim cost (which is very genorous as I've yet to buy the incect meat anywhere near 10cpu ), which gives me about 1k+ profit (very handy indeed ). I leave the high estimate for Dath Insect Meat, so that if things should change and I actualy do have to pay that much, I will be able to keep my prices stable and unchanged.

While a flat-rate would be great for consistency's sake, I use a formula: heal*charges*.1 for stim B's, and I up the multiplier to .12 for C's. I harvest everything myself, so I have a fair amount of overhead in travel charges, power, harvester maintenance, factory costs, etc.Dathomirian bug meat is a pain in the arse to come by for me, I'm "a small operation" that "doesn't fall under the jurisdiction of The Empire." (I'm not in a guild anymore, and don't want to be...I've never gotten a **edit** thing out of it, no matter how much I give and help out.)

Everything is way over priced. I guess that makes it ok.

Well after taking your advice, i decided to sell these for 3k per stim. WoW! they sold like hot cakes. Everyperson that inquired purchased them. I guess money is easy to come by out there, cuz i don't think i would pay for them at that price

Kova has a bid on danthomir insect meat on my server for 50c a unit, which makes getting it almost impossible for me. The formula I use is

price = F*(numberincrate)*(charges)*(effect)

For A's and B's F = 0.15 - (numberincrate)*0.05/50

For C's F = 0.2 - (numberincrate)*(0.05)/50

For D's F= 0.25 - (numberincrate)*(0.05)/50

This is a sliding scale discount for large volume buys. It encourages people to buy crates rather than singles.

Sales are pretty steady but not as fast as they used to be. I might drop the prefactor down some. I am surprised that people sell C's which require that hard to get bug meat from danthomir at the same multiple they sell A's or B's which dont. D's are selling out as fast as I put them up at that rate, and with the bug meat pinch, it is almost easier for me to produce D's than C's now.
