Thread: Bothans and Bio-Engineers
Is it just me or are there quite of few bothan/bio-engineer combinations? In particular, I've seen a lot of the masters I've met being bothans too (myself included). What gives?
I know for myself, I started out as a scout (and thus picked Bothan) but as I played, I decided to go up the bio skill tree. So that's how I came to be a Bothan Master Bio-Engineer.

Bothans get a camo bonus, which makes it easier to sneak up on DNA samples. That might have something to do with it.

Bothans are few and far between on all servers (at least that's what I gather). I wasn't really asking that.

When I started mine, it was with the idea of being a BE/CH. The camo bonus was attractive to me, both for DNA and pet training. Also, I puropsely made him as short as possible. I thought it was going to be fun having this little guy running around with big pets. Guess what -- not! As soon as I could afford it, I foiund an image desinger to make me taller. Even then, with anything bigger than a medium size pet, you can't see enough of what's going on to control it properly.
Now my BE/CH is becoming a DOC/TKA. I have a Wookie CH on another server, and I am actully thinking about letting him take up BE if the new cloning changes ever come through.

The camo bonus is useless unless you're a Ranger. Camo used to apply to Scout, until they split it into separate Camo and Mask Scent bonuses. Unfortunately they neglected to give Bothans a +15 Mask Scent bonus to compensate for the loss. Sigh. Hopefully this'll get fixed soon.
