Several BE's are packing away Kimo, Rancor, Gurreck, Merek, Baby, and other DNA to prepare for the changes.

Can someone confirm/deny that old DNA will work in the new system? Also does anyone know when the current character cloning will work so I can help test on TC?

So, are we expecting a response within like...minutes?

Because I just stumbled across a group of mutant rancors, and I'm not about to risk my ass to replenish my DNA supplies if it'll all be for nothing.

My old DNA didn't work.

I hope Tal gets some better results for everyone's sakes.

Even if it DID work with old DNA including the bugged baby DNA, since DNA stats are tied to end-result creature level you'd use your 4300 stat stuff and make a pet in the... oh, level 400's or so

Err, since the new system means that the lower the stats the lower the CL all your going to be creating with baby dna is CL300 clones. Also you might want to put one of those samples into a clone now.. I checked and they're no longer producing uber clones.

I don't think the old samples store enough information to be tranlsated into the new system...at least, not in any way you'd want them to...but I don't know for sure.

Several people with BE on the test center have answered your question. It is very doubtful the devs will respond. But if they did would it matter? What they say will happen and what actually happens are 2 different things most of the time. You're much better off taking the first hand word of people who are experiencing it.

Otherwise, even fi the devs were to answer your wishes and say *yes* you'd just be disapointd when it didn't work. Given they know the possibility they can't fix the issue that is currently in existance that causes old dna to not work I seriously doubt they would even comment on the subject, even if they are trying to make it work.

Short answer: don't count on it

They might.. but you'd lose the specials and resists that don't exist on old samples... Might still be good for boosting HAMs.
