yes I am it is loads of fun for me. My weopon is my pets I don't use any combat proffesions to assist me I am also a master scout and have some ranger. My pets are more then just weopons so I am careful to make sure they don't fall in combat and it adds a sense of excitment. It is difficult as well since I am unable to protect myself if I should be attacked. I enjoy it over all so ask any questions I guese but no weopon I hold a fishing rodd dose that count?

I wish I had enough skill points left OVER to use a weapon! I carry a D18 pistol to tap on lairs with - that's about it. I can't hit thebroad side of a torton with it.

I am MCH/MBE. I went Victors route for a bit but couldnt hack how long it took to kill something. Pet damage is just way too slow. So Im working back up thru one of the Pistoleer branches now.

I am a MCH/MBE and enjoy the combo, however I have several accounts. So when I want to hunt solo I can use other account.

I would suggest getting a Republican Blaster, you natively have the certification. Damage is very slow, however groups always want you for your pets. So, if you have a group you can join, this combo works well.

Now then, with new changes coming, you will have all the best pets and be able to control their specials. Not sure if they changes will effect damage output. But at the very least, your skills will be appreciated in any group now or when changes come. (Least IMHO)

Im MBE/MCH also, I find it a lot of fun.

Obviously, dishing out damage isnt a strongpoint when you combine these two skills but I get by. I am currently novice Pistoleer and I can afford to get one of the other boxes if I lose some survival skills. With Healthshot 1&2 (you can stack these two health bleeds), other specials and a nice pistol you can still do reasonable damage, not great but it all adds up.

Im MBE/MCH/MScout with Marksmanrifle and suppression- I can see CL levels which is nice - I use the republic pistol when in close for sampling - when hunting I use my laser rifle powered up - so its around 700+ max dmg and i can use Warning shot from first box of ranged support to turn them around if need be.

Being able to capture wild pets or sample them for dna - plus use the pets I find or breed for combat is a very rewarding experience and will be even better with the coming patch.

Its also nice to be able to create mounts and non-ch combat pets - then train them and sell them.

I think it will be very important now to be able to show the new pet since they will have different looks post patch. So the ability to create a pet - then tame it to show your customers - put the forsale tag on it - with the new stats in its name is going to be very powerful - I cant wait to pull a white rancor out of the pack and put him up for sale! :-)

Master BE/Master CH

Novice Pistoleer 0102 at the moment, but eventually I'll go 0004

Combatwise:
PVE it's quite good because of the tanking ability of the pets and Pistoleer's ability to stack both HealthShot bleeds together to damge even things with 100% resists to what you're hitting them with (if you think that's silly, I agree -- fireproof pets shouldn't bleed from fire attacks, or flame DOTS, but that's another thread)

PVP, I'm an accident waiting to happen. Because of the above problem with resists being completely ignored by DOTs, dedicated PVPers roll right over even my toughest pets.

Non-Combat:
CH lets me have a strong pet guarding me while I'm out harvesting (DNA, bone/meat/hide, placing harvesters for other resources) as well as a mount to hop on and run away. It also means I can tame and train what I make, but other than mounts that's not a big deal at the moment.
