I read on the CH forum that someone made a CL70 Kimo with 15k Ham and attacks for over 1k. Is it possible to add a KD/Dizzy combo to go with this killer Pet? I just hope their size can be reduced so they dont crowd up the whole screen.

Anybody have any info on the resists armor etc?

The only kimo im aware of being made on test center was CL35 not 70, and full grown hes going to be as bout as tough as a bull malkoc.

Yes it can be done but it's not easy. The size of them is naturally smaller than the normal kimogila since the wild ones are CL90 and the clone one you mention is CL70 so it'll scale down a bit. If you want a smaller one it can be lowered to CL40 as a bear minimum but Kimogila are still by their nature very large.

What do you mean, BEs can't sample kimos? I know ranger/bes (and BEs with enough scent neutralization) can mask and get closeish, and I know there were techniques developed that would let the suicidal sample from the kimos at the volcano during the lull after they kill each other.

Now, I know I had a hella time sampling from my kimo deed (on live, while they were untamable), so are you saying the sampling code disallows success on the high CL things? Or are you saying that it's just not possible to get close to dangerous aggro things with good perceptions?

O, maybe my mistake. Either way, you couldn't get the same resists because it would make that creature the same level as the kimo (95) and no one could use it.

Nah, I'm half wrong anyway. Been reading Talth's lab results, and it appears CL75 is the current cap on what can be successfully sampled. I hadn't realized that there was a true cap, because I stopped doing the high level sampling a while back.

Yes, trust me, you will fail to sample a Kimo 10 out of 10 times. I have tried to sample many Rancors also. The mask scent is not the problem, it is that we do not have the ability.

Actually you'll also fail 100% of the timewhile sampling a CL85 enraged bull rancor as well so the cap is very firmly around 75-80. There's going to be alot of confused people out there since folks are too familar with attatching species to certain CL ratings, i half expect some people to be selling junk kimogila for 100k to newbies who don't know any better. It might be worth making a statement on the CH to warn people to check the stats of what they are buying rather than simply accept the name and appearence as you normally do.

You don't actually get to use a kimo...since bio-e's can't sample kimo's they can't make "kimo's". What you get if you buy a kimo is a mix (or perhaps solid) of creatures at or below CL 70. Just taking a glance, the best thing you might be able to get is a Frenzied Graul trapped inside of a kimo skin. Granted that would be amazing...but not near a true kimo's stats.

It is my understanding that you get to fully customize all the resists and ham and whatnot correct? If thats true you could just sample any old level 70 creature and screw with the resists ect. I could really care less about getting a REAL kimo, all i want is a level 70 pet built to my specs.

Actually, the stats of the clone depend heavily on the creature you sample from. Just sampling from any CL70 creature may not give you the custom statsyour looking for.
