Thread: Made a SPECAIL EFFORT not to use tainted DNA
Im wondering what is is that I did in the creation of Non-CH Pets that today will not allow some people to use them. I have two now myself that I can no longer call. I made a special effort not to use NOX DNA in any of my pets. I used only Piket and Worker Butterfly DNA and nothing else. I have enjoyed playing a BE and had decided a few weeks ago that I would stay in this profession, Today however may have changed my outlook on the way the Devlopers FIX issues. I appriciate the fact that the Developers are trying to make the game an even playing field, and I say all power to them. However:
Are they going to pay back all of those people that have purchased pets from me over the past few weeks?
Are they going to give us the time back we spent collecting specific DNA for Non-CH pets?
Are they going to repair my equipment that get ruined out in the field when Im killed?
Are they going to give us some direction as to what is and isnt proper Pet stats?
For those B.E. s that took the time to try and re-learn the system, and try to do the right thing, why the punishment? Im going to tell my customers that they should wait a few days before they destroy their pets. And I hope that someone in the Developmetn team comes up with a better idea than destroying weeks worth of work.

I believe Pickett DNA had an "effective" resistance that ran all the way down through its resistances, including kinetic. I think this is the source of the problem, it has nothing to do with evaluating the final stats of your creature. See this thread.

And we are supposed to do what about the issue, just eat it and go on? If they didnt want us to make the pets we did then they should not have given us the means to do so.

What part of the word 'bug' is so hard to understand? Is it too obscure, too many letters, not quite clear enough? The system was bugged, Talth told us this at least 2 weeks ago and yet still BEs all over tried to make excuses, like yours above, saying if this wasn't we were supposed to be able to do, the devs wouldn't have given us the ability. Claiming not to use 'bugged' dna without having even a basic understanding of what the issue is. Thinking that, so long as they didn't use dna from those two or three sources that got the most noise, whatever they made was fine, even if it was obviously clearly out of balance - level 11 pets with 7k HAM, 40% resists, level 14 pets with 9k HAM, 50% resists, the scale of pets some people tried to persuade themselves were in balance is incredible.
I have spent a good part of today talking to various CH on my server and reassuring them that not all BE are dishonest or incompetent (or in at least one case both). I have already made 4 pets as free replacements fornewer CHthat got caught out because they, as customers, shouldn't have to know everything about the BE profession to make a purchase decision. Feel free to leave your customers high and dry btw - there will be a smart BE very willing and able to help them out and pick up all your future business, the only one losing out is you.
I havelittle sympathy for those that are getting bad press for selling uber low level pets, however they made them. I have even less for those that don't have the business sense to get out in front of the curve, offer replacements for faulty pets and make sure their customers are happy. Dna used to make these pets is not hard to get, so its not like you are losing 3 days of Dathomir sampling. Play it smart, email customers and make sure things are ok, offer help where they aren't, and you will have a customer for life.
Hmm, never got a CL10 with 40 resist, what DNA were you using. Most of the Pets I made were 20-23 resist, 4-6k H, 2-3k A , 1-3k M. And with Butterfly attack.I never read on a singlepost from Tal-N or anyone else that there were other DNA issues besides Nox.Personal attacks show your maturity. Guess that would be around 13 or so.
