Basically, pet #2 and pet #3 are the same resist and dmg wise. There really isnt much difference in the HAM(about 1k difference in HAM)aside from the action, a 3k difference, which is substantial. The only other difference is a 1CL difference. The Valid pet is CL23 and the Invalid one is CL22. The similarities in stats show they were made with the same dna. Further complicating the issue is the Pet #1 which is CL23, light armor, and has far better HAM and kinetic resist than these 2 unarmored pets.
Whats the logic behind whats valid and invalid. Looking at these, youd think the armored pet would be invalid and the others valid....
/shakes head
Add on:
I certainly hope theyre not using CL to determine whats Valid and whats Invalid.
The CL22 and CL23 with basically the same stats point towards CL being the deciding factor.
Thats good for the CL10 extreme cases, but when we get into the CL20s and above, another method has to be used.
1CL. I mean, come on.
Tal-who? Didnt that guy get banned for a few days?
Anyway, I doubt the CL tied into the resists because the CL22 and CL23 pets both have the same exact resists. Yet 1 is invalid and the other one is Valid. Thats what makes it seem like theres no sense to what theyre doing.
It looks like the CL. Their reasoning being "the cutoff has to be somewhere."
The stats that likely determine what is valid or invalid probably can not be seen in the pet deed. Its more likely something like its aggression value, or one of those base values the other stats are derived from. I'm guessing what happens is one of them gets out of range, aka it becomes a negative value or is larger than its supposed to be able to be and overruns.
Pets would need to carry these invisible values because they are used to sample from. Depending on how out of whack the value is the results of the error could be large or small. Perhaps the last one is just a tad out of balance resulting in the 1pt lower CL. So its not the CL but the number that results in the CL that is the problem. Make sense?

I think your right on the CL being the hotfix check. I have 3 pets all withabout the same resists/vulbs. All have AR1 . The cl16 and 17 have lower damage and to hit numbersthen the cl 18. (which is how most of us believe cl has been being calculated along with resists, i believe)
cl 18 - 16k total ham /valid
cl 17 - 25k total ham /invalid
cl16 - 23k total ham /invalid

Do you know for sure that they were made from the same DNA? From what I've read it looks like DNA from certain creatures (Piket, nocuous kamurith, etc.) was one of the big problems and pets made with it were nerfed today. So, for example, if Piket DNA had been used in the Psych slot of the third petit wouldn't make a big difference on the stats but would explain why that pet is uncallable.
Just a thought. I'm still waiting to see what this potential problem with the fix might be. Until them I'm not deleting any pets because they might become callable again.
The stats are nearly identical down to the special attacks. 1 is missing a special attack probably due to a failure or something. Its got to be the same dna.
I sure hope their new fix doesnt ruin the situation further.
CL22 9796/8378/6871 HAM
AR1
45/V/2/2/V/2/2/V
2.45/.2
280 Str Poison/Str Disease/Ranged

CL23 10137/9653/8199 HAM
AR1
45/V/V/6/V/3/6/V
2.38/.2
240 Str Poison/Str Disease/Ranged
VALID
+1 CL (magic #23 ?) 40 less damage and 1 more vuln (again possibly resists figured in ?)
Got a tell last night with this info. I can't put up the exact stats since I don't have the pets but this is a best approximation.
CL 10 Bol ~2K HAM >2-% resists
Valid
CL 10Dewback ~2K HAM >20% resists
Invalid
I made 3 dews and one bol, the bol works and the dews don't. the bol was made from wild DNA. The Dews were made from processed (3 or 4th gen) DNA. There was no major difference in their HAM or resists. So eithor the patch makes anything from processed DNa invalid, or there is a very very fine line.
Eede
It might exlusively lay with the dna doner - I did use nox Kam dna for a personal pet in a slot to give it Poison attack - I was sampling Rancors and the Kams are all over the place - I did not exploit it, and made what I consider a low power mount for myself. 700H ~300A ~300M 5 in resists for most things with some vulnerables and poison - no ranged. Invalid.
I pulled off an 18% kinetic/energy kaadu at CL10 last night. Only 900 HAM though. I didn't experiment it at all though I don't think.
Used merek harvester in physique and 4 rill samples or something like that. Hard to remember I was combining so many tests last night. ![]()
