Talthazar,

I understand the need for the nerf. I believed it to be a bug all along. However, the implementation of the nerf has left me (and I'm sure some of the others) with a huge problem.

In a nutshell, I can't sell clones on my vendor. We need a way to find out if the deed will result in an invalid pet before it is tamed because you can't sell a tamed pet on a vendor. It's not good enough that the devs fix the crafting system so it won't produce invalid clones anymore (Although, this is required, of course), because customers will have no way of telling a pre-nerf deed from a post-nerf deed. Consumer confidence is just about as low as it can get.

No other crafting profession has to deal with unknowingly selling potentially useless goods on their vendor. No one is going to want to pay us for clones without assurances that they will work. The deeds HAVE to have a validity flag added to them that can be seen upon examination.

They are relaxing the oddball invalid stats rules tommorow morning. The intent of the patch was to disable th overpowered nonCH pets, it was never intended to affect genuine >CL10 pet deeds. Because it did, they are removing a lot of the rules tommorow and with the next publish will offer a trade-in program for any pets that are still out of wack.

My vendor pet sales are better then ever. I sell a tone of high end pets >=CL50, a lot of CL30-35 pets for duo combos. The only pets affected by this patch were the CL20-25 pets I make with armor that make EXCELLENT strating pets for CHs and work even better as pet trio combos.

Myclones are all CL 26+, so most of them are probably ok. I simply don't know that for sure and the customers won't know it either. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't drop 100K+ (for the upper-end clones) on something that might be completely useless.
