Thread: RE: LOL Irony
Don't you boys and girls think it's TOO funny that CH's are saying things like 'Now creatures tamed in the wild are worth nothing, ughh' ?!
I was unfortunate enough to drop Master BE a week before the new patch (for some reason I didn't hear about the sweeping changes).
I just find it ironic is all ![]()
Glad to see that the BE profession has it share of horse behinds. We got some in CH and am happy to see that BE is not immune.
Wide brush there dude. Should I consider all BEs crooks and scoundrels for some selling bugged pets?
nooooo...... didn;t sell bugged pets on purpose... had nothing to tell they were bugged.. cept the uber lvl 10's etc...
stayed well clear of the kamurith stuff and still had pets neutered...
we had HAVE nothing to tell us what is right and wrong with BE.
There is STILL no documentation. ANYWHERE

The problems I had were the low CL powerful pets that bore no consitancy with the tameables nerf. (yet got nothing but flamed for it) Wild pets are not worthless, they just take a massive beating and are quite more expensive to maintain. The thing that pisses me off the most is the rare nonsense us CH's are now stuck with.
68 Bull Rancor lairs, not one baby. Little frustrating...
**edit**, I guess common sense is no substitute for documentation. Let me guess you were a kid that had to burn their hands two or three times to finally understand that the pan is hot. Please people use your heads... if it looks too good to be true... come on you know the rest. Yes I would like a clear answer like "The Bio-Engineer has a 5-10 level "play" window regarding the strength of pets." Or how about, "The Bio-Engineer can not make any sub 23 pets with armor." I agree it would be nice to know in advance but frankly it will not have the earth shattering impact you are looking for. Most likely the best you can hope for is, "The Bio-Engineer has a "play" window; however, there are somestrict rules regarding armor that under no circumstances can be violated." That's it no exact levels or examples.
Before I started Bio-Engineer I was a Master Smuggler. Everyone knows a bit about slicing even if you are not a Smuggler. And the general consensusof the forum is at Master you have a higher % slice than someone with just Slicing IV. This is not documented in game ( check theMaster SmugglerSkillbox in game ) and only hearsay on the forum but the numbers thrown around came from trial and error. Currently that trial and error testing is where we are in Bio-Engineering. Admittedly this system is a bit more complex than other crafting systems and some guidelines would be nice but the lack ofdocumentation will not hamper my enjoyment of this profession.

The CHs' who say that are little kids who have not played this game very much.
There are still many things out there alot better then can be made easily or at all.
In fact there are many new things out there since the last patch.
And sometimes they appear and disapear.
So you have to stay alert for stuff or you miss out.
All I can say is sample everything, becasue you never know when you wont be able to get more DNA of that type.

In RL there is a general knowledge that if something *can* be done it *will* be done. This extends to game environment and learning in general. If the DEVs don't want something to be done then MAKE IT NOT POSSIBLE to do. Fix the code and stop blaming the customer. The DEVs will still not have to tell us how it works. That is the experimentation and exploration part of the BE profession but STOP blaming the good BE for experimenting and finding out what is possible. That is the whole POINT OF EXPERMINTATION. And SOE and DEVs please find a way to resolve the problem that merchants and customers have because of YOUR BUG. As to pre-knowledge you can never prove what they (we) knew or should have known so give it up and just make it right for the customer base. Grrrr. I think I am actually annoyed at the DEVs and the community that is *blaming* the BE and the BE's customer(s)

Indene, all I'm saying is for everyone whining about not have documentation to please get over it. Yes we are on the learning curve but that is part of what playing the game is about. What just really gets to me is someone finds a loophole and uses it ( it's there so why not ) then feigns ignorance as to not knowing the limits because of lack of documentation.
Just follow throughthis sequence with me... "You know that looks really good... maybe too good... wonder if they'll nerf it... well they did give me the ability to do it... but then again thecreature handlers were recently nerfed... ( depending on morality there is really only one choice to make a or b )
a) well I'll make as many as I can and sell them until caught/stopped and ifI am threatened with exploiting a bug I can just say"Well how was I suppose to know?"
b) I think something is wrong with these clonesso I'm going to hold off making them until the system clarified because I do not know."
