Ya know someday we may get fixed, might even be quick and silent like with nobody really knowing that our power got equalized but us. And then theyll be asking for thier clothing mod's and thier level 35 toned down gurreks and thier level 70 pink rancor's and all the stuff we can make for the chef's (well maybe not the chef's, they ARE screwed). An thats when those players figure out that theres soo few of us that demand far exceeds supply. Anybody here remember thier economics 101 class? what happens when demand exceeds supply? yea baby Ka-Ching. Just remember baby dont take no prisoners and have no pity, we were due.

I have DNA sampling 4 half done and im almost done withexperiment 4 (at 4343). Some of you masters already know the insane amount of resources we go through and how much dammage that last couple DNA sampling nerfs hurt us. When we get "fixed", were not going to have a huge rush of BE's hitting master over night.....hell theres gonna be a few hundered novices that are going to be in for aRUDE shock, This aint Creature Handling or Rangering, you cant just knock outto master level over the weekend., i got a buddy whos gone DE cause of a holocron told him to, hes gonna hit master in less than a week, try pulling that with Bio engineer, we use a planets worth of meat just getting one branch up to master.

Hmm? Tal-N, notice the %'s of all the other professions... they're all low. These numbers are offset by large numbers of characters being created on servers and never played. Three things of note - 1. notice the other professions which are less in numbers than BEs, yet are being worked on (including DEs); 2. you can count on the BE cloning changes to be released along with mounts, just because they are not on TC yet doesn't mean they won't be; 3. create a Brawler on TC, you'll see they have had significant boosts compared to current Live build .

off topic slightly - almost as much BEs as Tailors? Some more BEs on my server need to start making tissues then, I'm stealing all their business!

Pike, Fencer, Swordsman - added together barely make as many as BE. I had fun with swordsman. It's a good one for someone learning DNA sampling because your already up close and personal when you get aggro.

Wow, we outnumber armorsmiths. That's a surprise. But then again, how many of us wear armor? I don't. I guess one thing this tells us is that there are a lot of unused characters sitting around on alternate servers. But look at CH, yes they're the most numerous, but on the other hand, they still make up less than 9% of the total population. So I'm wondering how much of this perception of being Pokewars has been brought about by people with nonCH pets. I wish there was some way to distinguish between active and inactive characters, because it's hard to tell what the numbers are really saying. I wonder if they could put a filter on their metrics that weeds out characters who haven't logged in in the last week? How many of those bio-engineers are on the inactive list? There could actually be fewer of us than is shown here. Just as there could be more CH's because they are being compared to all characters, not just the active ones. Without an active/inactive filter I'm not sure how good these numbers are.

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Yosho, 1 in 5 people who have trained in any elite profession have trained Novice CH. Thats a pretty big number.

Also keep in mind that a large chunk of those novice BEs are CHs who picked up some BE to make thier own pet stims. If they ranked the scale based on what professions people had the most SP in, we'd be lower.

Well it's nearly as bad as it was, in beta when they did something like this the BEs didnt even appear on the results and when we asked why they told us it'd be accidently filtered out since it was less than 1%. It's not a problem as there are other professions in the same boat. But one thing to remember now is that we are not a priority and that explains why we're on the whole being left until last. Indeed the melee professions are in the same boat when you look at it and you can see that from the current problems.

Hmm, those numbers seem kinda fishy. It says that only 44.37 have picked up a novice elite skill. That doesnt seem right. I myself have picked up 2 novice elite skills and I'm sure tons of other people also have 2-3. I would expect the total percentage of novice elite classes to be in the 120-150% percent range. 48 seems way off.

Though it is interesting to note how CH/pistoleer that 1/3 of the population has chosen either pistoleer or CH.

I don't know if I'd say it's bad. We're somewhere in the middle of the food chain. If they're looking for a more equitable distribution across professions that's not a bad place to be. It's unlikely that we'll get nerfed any time soon. Probably the only reason we're getting a decent amount of attention right now is that we're broken.

As for other professions, the high CH population and low melee and DE populations explain a lot what the devs are currently focusing on. I also predict that Carbine will get some love soon. Rifle is doing alright, but Pistol is heavily overpopulated. The special attack costs are killing the Carbine profession right now and skewing the numbers towards Pistol.

I'd like to see these numbers on a monthly basis. I think we'll be able to predict a lot of the developer's priorities based on how the numbers play out.
