Thread: A Question for the Bio Engineers of SWG
Hello all you BE's out there.I have to admit the profession interests me. Except one thing I don't understand completely ,what you do? I think that BE's advance the game . For example w/ pets u make them better via lower levels or by making them tougher (dam . special attacks etc...)
Well instead of sitting here typing what I think you do I'm just going to list a bunch of questions....PLease answer them.
#! Can Be's clone tissiues ex. krayt tissues?
#2 Has anyone successfully sampled a krayt?
#3 what is experimenting like...what i mean is it like Doc , slicing,or like an artisan style?
#4 Does it help to be a master in another profession...(ex. dr. for pet stims, weaponsmith for weapon upgrades, tailor for clothes...etc...)?
#5 Say for example can BE's make a graul mauler a nonCH pet?
#6 I know that early on, the only real way to enjoy BE was to take CH on the side. Is this still the case? Because other than using the great pets, I really only see the profession as a profitable endeavor.
#7 Is it possible to sample the mutated creatures in the warren? They seem to be quite powerful and I imagine the dna is really good.
#8 Say you're a master Doc + BE would I get more experiment points?
In a nutshell I've read the FAQ and it didn't answer these questions. Please resond
Thank You

No
#2 Has anyone successfully sampled a krayt?
It's impossible under the system that went in 2 months ago
#3 what is experimenting like...what i mean is it like Doc , slicing,or like an artisan style?
More like doc.
#4 Does it help to be a master in another profession...(ex. dr. for pet stims, weaponsmith for weapon upgrades, tailor for clothes...etc...)?
Depends on what you want to sell and how you want to play.
#5 Say for example can BE's make a graul mauler a nonCH pet?
No, there's rules which govern the CL ratings and how much power a pet can have for that rating.
#6 I know that early on, the only real way to enjoy BE was to take CH on the side. Is this still the case? Because other than using the great pets, I really only see the profession as a profitable endeavor.
I've never been a CH/BE. I've still enjoyed the profession for the most part. When clones weren't popular I used to make a very comfortable living from petstims and tissues alone so there's alot of money to be had.
#7 Is it possible to sample the mutated creatures in the warren? They seem to be quite powerful and I imagine the dna is really good.
None of the warren critters are especially powerful plus most of the really tough ones are humanoids or droids which cannot be sampled. And they're not mutated, they're cybernetically enhanced.
#8 Say you're a master Doc + BE would I get more experiment points?
No.

Thats because these's arent frequently asked questions, they're very specific ones covering very trivial matters. I'm fairly sure the krayt tissue thing is explained in the FAQ actually.

It sounds to me like the BE proffession is a money making proffesion.
Do you spend you're playing time mostly seeking out creatures and useing the samples to make either cloth or pets?
It's only money making cause it's very time consuming for the most part. Petstim Bs can be very cost effective and greatly in demand so that can be a real money spinner. Personally I designed my build for making clones what with all the tracking and ranger skills, so far it's paying of nicely since I can make clones alot faster than someone without those abilities.
If you want the best money spinning combinations they work like this:
doctor/bio-eng = petstim specialist
ranger/bioeng = clone crafting specialist
ch/bio-eng = clone sales specialist
tailor/bio-eng = bio-clothing specialist
