Thread: lvl 18 pet. Any recommendations?
Well, it's all up to you now, really. There are some good pets being made... most of which are legit, some of which are not. I recommend getting a pet with high kinetic resist over high HAM. For an example: I have a gurrcat with 7k HAM and 39% kinetic... he can tank alright, but he takes hits and is a pain to heal. I also have a jax with only 4k HAM but 49% kinetic. Believe it or not, 10% makes a bigimpact on mitigation.
I don't know if you're a new CH, or experienced, so I hope my simplification isn't taken the wrong way. Personally if you want the pet as a primary tank, get the good kinetic primarily... and then get some special attacks. I recommend Intimidation, always, as it slows down the opponent's attack and seems to stick better than other specials. Also, knockdown is a beloved favorite. HAM and damage are just icing on the cake, unless you are looking for a secondary pet, in which case, higher damage would suit you.
As for the skin... you can handle anything, since you have some CH - pick whatever you like the best, and hopefully a BE can make it for you at that level. Note that some skins have a minimum level... for example, Pikets can go no lower than CL 20.
That was far too winded than you probably needed, but I hope it helps.
Well... It depends on what you are looking for. Most people I have talked to don't care much about damage. All that they are interested in is high HAM and kinetic resist. Today I made a CL 14 Gurreck with these stats:
about 10k H
about 9k A
about 9k M
Armor: None
54% or 55% Kinetic
crappy damage
STRONG Disease
Making a pet with higher damage, however, increases the CL. Here's what I came up with:
CL 19 Gurreck
9.5k H
9k A
9k M
58% Kinetic
280-290 damage
STRONG Disease
It's not too tough to get a good CL 18-ish pet if you have the right DNA. These were 2nd and 3rd generation Inbred clones (respectively). Hope this helps.
