I was standing in line for buffs at the Coronet Starport (Lag City)....it's resource gathering day.....and was approached buy a player wanting a special Non-CH pet. I tried to sell him oneI had alreadymade and he said no. I said ok...what would you likeand I will see what I can do. Here is what he wanted...

CL10

High Health

HIgh Kinetic

Decent Damage

Strong Poison

Strong Disease

and...It has to be mountable.

Wow....to me this a challenge. The mountable part, CL10, Kinetic resist and decent damage was a walk in the park. Getting the strong poison and strong disease to stick was going to be the tricky part for me. I have a CL12 with those specials, that I have had since mounts came out.

I have to be honest, I love a challenge but, my play time was going to be severely hampered by this one off creation. I told the player it was going to be expensive and he returned that credits was a non-issue. I said, "What would you pay for this pet?"

He said he would pay 1million credits. Challenge accepted.

I pulled it off but, this is one of those I don't care to repeat.

Here is the final pet (HAM is closely estimated..I'm at work and can't remember off hand. Will post a screenie later today):

CL10

Gold Cu pa

H- 8.9K

A- 4.6K

M- 2.5K

Kinetic- 58%

Blast- 40%

Attack Speed 2.07

To-Hit .2 +

Damage: 110-120

Special 1: Strong Poison

Special 2: Strong Disease

If any BE's have done one of these, is there any way to dothis without having to multigen into next week?

The following thread has been my bible.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bio-engineer&message.id=74873

Look for a post by Preloaded.
His creation can be seen
http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=67815

He gives you one very important advice on top of his awesome recipe: "vulnerability stacking".
And you probably understand what he means by that when you see his pets' resists.

Now its time to get to DNA Laboratory on
http://www.swgcreatures.com
and start your simulation!

Fun Fun!

Wow....now that is an incredible pet.

I make pets like that and use them myself but, my biggest problem is getting the specials to stay. I have never figured out what slots are contributing to the specials. The only thing I can conclude is that when I stick the same special in Mind, Psych, and Aggression Ikeep the specials I want.....most of the time. Anyway, I may never have this thing figured out....lol.

Special 1 is from agression. Special 2 is from pyschology. Both agression and psychology need to be the same quality,at least HQ, and higher quality than physique to have a good chance of sticking.

If agression is higher quality than pyschology then chances are you'll either end up with both specials from agression or a blank for special 2. If physique is higher than agression then there is a good chance special 1 will come from physique.

Try this and I think you'll see better success in your specials.

Thanks Kevm.

I will give this a shot. Basically, keep the DNA the same quality or you might miss a special... roger.

What I typically do is, if I have VHQ for agression and psychology, I wont use higher than HQ for physique. If I have HQ for agression and psychology then I'll keep physique at AA.

If I want ranged then I'll use VHQ or HQ in the mind slot (doesn't always require ranged DNA in this slot, but helps)

EDIT: this works when you want to mix specials form different DNA. If you have a single DNA with both specials (for instance MDH which has both strong poison and strong disease) then you can get away with VHQ in agression, HQ in psychology, and HQ in physique, and still end up with both specials.
