Thread: Question from a BE customer. (bug?)

I acquired a Krahbu recently, engineered by a friend. Said Krahbu is growing properly but...does not gain CL ratings. Meaning I still get 120ish XP from newbie mobs with a currently-850-HAM-pet. (Still not adult). Under examine he does show a CL0, which explains that, but is that a bug with my pet or a bug with all Krahbus, with all DE pets? I bugged it but just wanted to know if the pet was special in any way.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.

If im' understanding you correctly.. you are asking why a lower (not full grown pet) CL does not give you exps for the pet at that level? Level 30 full grown = 200 exps on level 30 MOB same Level 30 pet at growth of CL15 will still give same amount of exps.. Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but if that is your question.. yes it occurs.

Sounds like it is full grown or close to it. Krahbu aren't very high level to begin with, but I don't know why it's telling you cl 0. We generally don't get a lot of requests for these creatures, so I'm not sure if this bug is repeatable or not. I'll try taming one and see what happens.

No Daxy. I'm asking why my DE engineered Krahbu stays CL0 while growing. Since he's CL0, I'm getting too much XP since the pet should be CL 7 or 8 or something of that kind. My 3/4 grown Krahbu is STILL CL 0 but has all the proper stats of a 3/4 grown Krahbu, ie HAM and attacks.

In effect my pet is underrated by the system, which grants me more XP than if the Krahbu was properly rated.A 700 HAM CL0 pet, imagine that...you can chain newbie mobs and rack XP like nothing else with that...especially since you don't have to tame new ones to get the good CL0 xp as they grow.

No there just seems to be a bug where some clones have a habit of not growing. On shadowfire I picked up a rare baby Kwi from Dathomir and for the past week it's remained at CL0 and not grown at all while my other pets have continued as normal.

That's not it either. My pet DOES grow, but its CL does not increase. (All the stats do). Hence a rather unbalanced pet, it's basically a CL 8 pet giving a CL 0 pet XP when hunting.

I think this is actually a "CH" bug. My first pet was a Drolg I tamed in the wild. He stayed at CL0 until two days after he was full grown. (Which for some odd reason took two weeks, rather than the normal one) One day he was CL0 and the next he was at his full CL (?11?). This was a little while before I picked up novice BE. (I was still doing the med crafting grind after O. Chem 4 at that point). Fairly certain it is a bug. I know I filed a bug back then on the problem, of course I never heard anything about it.

sigh...Krahbus normally get high experience for things, they are a low Creature level when a BE makes them.

So they make excellent Experience getters.

No...the experience aquisistion is not an error.

If you think that it is you should try getting your self a Fynock or a Rasp.

Also...for comparison sake, get your self a bearded jax from a Bio-Engineer, and you will see even larger exp, gains.

This is becasue experience is not related to Creature Level but to the power of the creature.

So in this case a Creature which has lower HAMs than you will get more exp than you.

SO anywise...to repeat myself, this is not an error, but just the way the game works....thats why so many people use babies, when in fact they should just get some of our clones and grow them to full power, as our adult clones get their special abilities, while a baby gets not much at all.

By the way...before anyone says a thing about it...I have been playing this game alot..I am both a Bio-Engineer and Creature Handler...so I do know.

Plageron, I've been earning the SAME xp whether the Krahbu had 100 HAM or 800 HAM=112 xp for a very starter newb mob. I have already XPed with other pets and your description is what SHOULD happen. When a pet grows, so does its CL. A just tamed GSP is CL 2 for exemple. As it grows it goes to the full 23 CL over time, and the XP decreases for the same mob.

With my pet, it grows, gains HAM, but examine shows CL 0 and the XP gains keep being the same as they were when the creature was a baby. Imagine a fully grown, 8K HAM GSP with a CL of 0 and giving you 112 XP for a nuna. That's basically what's happening to my Krahbu. (On a different scale, of course)

Like I said, get your self a fynock or rasp or as suggested a nuna.

And go ahead and run a comparison.

So anywise, you will notice your GSP has 800 HAMs as a baby, and it grows up its HAMs increase so the exp lowers plus it gains a special attack..so it loses more exp.

The Krahbu as you will notice starts with a low HAM and never fully gets to anything past a 1000 which is the player average, and it has no special attacks.

So in this case, this game uses a range of values to determine the powerlevel of something and that comparison determines the exp you get when it comes to creature experience.

Unlike most of the other Creature Handlers, I used to use a Fynock and a RASP which netted me the most exp, 400 and 800 respectivly on things like paralopes and other fynocks.

Thats becasue I realized the experience system compared the powerlevels of the creatures to determine the creature experience you get....and also all you had to have happen was your creature to hit once.

So anywise, I was one of the First Master Creature Handlers since the game was sold...and I did that because I wanted to be able to use what I made as a Bio-Engineer.

I hope that clarifys the exp you gain.

Your Krahbu is in certain hole of values...sheesh...I thought everyone knew that.

But I guess not.

By the way...this will all be moot with the planned creature changes...but I bet the exp values will still stay the same....

So that means if we make very weak things we will basically make super EXP gaining creatures.

But one good thing....at least you cannot use three creatures to net 3 times the exp anymore.

oh yeah...I bet no one knew about that either.
