10:1 We werent aware that there are any problems with the BE class. Refresh our memory, what is a BE again? and what exactly is the problem?

1:1 due to mass exodus, we are ending the SWG project, Lucas has expressed his dissatisfaction with the job we are doing and we have lost our licensing.

Frankly an explaination wouldn't make me or anyone else for that matter any happier. What do they expect us to say when they appologise for making us wait another month for a system which should have been in place a long time again...?

"Oh thank god SOE, you finally made me have total faith in your ability to produce a quality product, I'll just continue grinding through BE and attempting to master 10 professions on another server for my FS slot while you finish my bio-engineer.. no hurry of course, feel free to take your time and I don't even mind if it's riddled with bugs after you've been working on it for 3 months"

At this point all I care about is results, I haven't done any bio-engineering for roughly a week now cause I find my character on Shadowfire more interesting. My Ahazi account is only used to talk to my friends really cause after hitting 2.5 million and reduced to factory runs of petstims and tissues the fun has been sucked completely out of the profession. I won't quit, I'll just get my enjoyment from a seperate character.

An excuse? Since when do they bother giving us an excuse? They rarely even tell us that stuff is or isn't coming, we generally have to read about it in the twice daily reports on the CH forums and cut and paste it to the BE forums.

Should they give us an explanation, I'm going with the standard contractor line: "Hi guys, we understand that you can't wait to get to work on the new cloning system and we appreciate your patience. But it has recently come to our attention that you expect that your selection of creatures to make will be expanded and therefore we are going to have to wait another month so we can pick out what creatures we are going to add and get their schematics programmed. We were on schedule to get everything done on time, but now that you have requested that more be done, it will take a little longer. Looking forward to showing it to you when it is finished, though!"

Back in the days of train travel, someone sent in a letter to a railroad company complaining that he had been bitten by a bedbug during his trip. He received in response a long, detailed letter explaining that this matter had been taken very seriously, the car that he was riding in had been identified and completely disinfected, and they were very sorry for his experience. Also enclosed in the envelope, quite by accident, was his original letter upon which was scrawled "Send this jerk the bedbug letter."

SOE has a history of treating their players as anything but paying customers and generally providing the least amount of customer service (and therefore expenditures) as possible. That has been clearly evident in both the state of the profession and game at launch and the lack of speed with which they have moved to fix it just because people are paying their hard earned money to play.

I wonder, we all know that the devs or whoever will say that they genuinely do care about our profession (because we know they're paid to say that) but I'd then like to counter that with asking why have we been made to wait 6 months for very fundamental changes to our profession that aren't actually fixes but rather revisions that are desperately needed. Shortyl followed by the question... is 6 months a reasonable length of time for these changes in your opinion?

I used to work in software development and I think this excuse will come in handy for SOE. It's an oldy, but a goody.

"I'm not actually a US citizen. I was on an H-1 visa provided by 7-11, where I worked the night shift. They just fired me and now the INS (Homeland Security?) has already deported me back to Hyderabad. Please send me a computer so I can telecommute and finish the important changes to the BE profession. The fees at this Internet cafe are killing me."

i hope tal-n isnt speaking for me there.

an explanation would make me feel better. if the kel sent us some reasonable explanation as to why it missed yet another publish i wouldnt be as pissed off. the reason im upset about this is the lack of communication, as most people have said, so i dont knowhow you can say that more communication wont make anyone happier.

if he sent us a message...

"I ran into some problems making X part work with Y feature and i felt that was important enough to the new cloning system to hold the whole thing off until the next publish, which is when you will see the changes in action"

...i know i would feel better, and im sure many others would too.

If they think excuses are all we need to be happy then what stops them from giving us one after another? If your happy with being handed one side step after another then you're not really helpping things are you. I'd be the first to cut SOE some slack but this has gone far beyond a joke now.
