Just thought Id share these, there pretty basic but may help some of the newer BE's.

I got fed up of chasing things around to sample dna so a made a macro (well I actually made a few for different circumstances) this isassuming you know how to make macro's here is my combinations

/maskscent;/follow;/pause 6;/sampledna;

That basically hits maskscent, auto follows my selected target, and sample's 6 seconds later (in case there is some distance to cover)

The other veriation is basically the same but it assumes that the Creature doesnt die after the 1st sample.

/maskscent;/follow;/pause 6;/sampledna;/pause 20;/sampledna; (you may need to play around with the puase times)

Basically samples twice, but to be honest I usualy use the 1st, and then just resample if the creature survives

Got Mind?

/stand;/pause 1;/sampledna;/sit;

Use with Muon Gold to make for never ending sampleing, if your aggro doesnt pop.

no offense, that macro is no good for sampling anything tough.

1) if your scent is already masked you will REMOVE maskscent with that macro

2) if you /follow something you get WELL within the range neccesary or adviseable

3) if you run your maskscent is reduced to 25%(i think)

4) if you run towards high lvl agro creatures they normally attack at about 20-30m

this macro Does fine for me thanks on Dath, dont believe me? then set up a toon on valcynand ill be happy to demonstrate, i get sample's 70% with very few incaps.

I dont know where you heard the -25% while running thing? as no one I have asked as even heard of it. and if your getting agro's at 20-30m with mask scent on then I feel sorry for you, how do you think CH's tame dangerous creatures?

It could be your approach however, as "some people" believe if you are armed or take a direct path, this can cause agro's.

and as for the /Follow you would not use this macro until you were close, not when your 60m+ away

and yes you would unmask if you were masked

,but the idea of the macro is one touch sample,so you dont have to hit F# for mask then F# for follow then F# for Sampledna

I was using something like this

/stand; /sampledna; /pause 3; /sit; /pause 27; /ui action toolbarSlotXX;

where XX is the slot the macro is on. You sit after you start the DNA sample to get mind back. Get your willpower up to 1000 and you can do this nonstop. You need a brief pause after the sample command else you cease taking DNA. I think it was 27s before I could sample again by trial and error. THen you punch the macros button again. THis works great on immobile yard trash, and you need to /dump it alot.

I no longer use it since I do field sampling of aggro stuff that wanders, and need to be able to move off if the sample goes bad and let the pets take agg.
