Hey all... I just made novice BE this morning and was wondering what a good recipy for a decent pet is when i have no bars... I have made a max lvl of 5.. I have made 2 of them... So what do I do to make a decent one... also please list DNA that is fairly easy to get lol, I have no bars, also try to list a recipe for a pet with a max CL16 or lower (I am ch and thats my max CL atm) So is this possible? I really would like to know...
Cya all...

First off...
Welcome to the fold
As far as decent pets when you have nothing but novice...they aren't gonna happen
You won't be able to make anything really battle-worthy till you get at least two or three boxes in the DNA and experimentation lines.
DNA sampling is perhaps the easiest tree to advance. I've not tried working my way up since they made DNA sampling XP harder to get (I did all my pre-master stuff last year...gosh, has it really been that long?), but I'm told going outside Theed or Coronet or any of those major cities and sampling the easy stuff (gnorts, spineflaps, butterflies, durnis, etc.) is a good start. It also prevents you from getting killed, unless you have absolutely no combat skills. Once you've poked a bunch of yard trash and gotten 2 boxes in DNA sampling, you can head to Dantooine and go for pikets and piket longhorns. They don't deathblow, and I'm told they give excellent sampling experience. By the way, DNA sampling's success rate is directly related to your sampling skill level versus the challenge level of the creature; therefore, don't get any ideas that you can just go to Dantooine or Dathomir or any of those planets to begin with. If you do, you'll fail a lot, get aggro-ed a lot, and die a lot
Once you've gotten a few boxes in DNA sampling, you can get decent DNA...but you won't be able to do any effective experimentation on clones until you earn a few of the Techniques tree boxes. As far as crafting XP goes...I don't know what to grind, nor do I know approximate resource requirements, so I can't really help you there. Personally, I don't recommend grinding, as you won't learn the ropes of bio-engineering that way and you'll get burned out easily. For example, it took me a good 3 months to master BE, but I knew what I was doing when I got there
Mt. Everest wasn't climbed in a day; neither should bio-engineering be ground in a week.
Hope that helps a bit
