Thread: Why is there a test center?

The more the game develops, the more clear it becomes that customer feedback is an afterthought, and not a genuine consideration of the development teams, unless it supports what the developers have already decided. It was quite well and clearly demonstrated that the new crafting system would be a disaster weeks before the publish, and now it will be removed after the "live" servers have had the opportunity to see just how much of a mistake it was reported to be by the people on TC. This pattern has held true through the creature handler / non-CH pet issues, the insurance/death decay issues and numerous others, but it is only when the general population of the live servers complains that any notice seems to be taken at all.

I feel sorry for the brave souls that actually play full time characters on the test center. Thier efforts and honest commentary on the proposed changes must feel a sisyphean effort at best, when such a blatant retrenchement as this has to be done on the live servers despite their best efforts to make the difficulties inherent in the change understood before it went to this point. Once again the talent, interest and wilingness to assuretheccess and betterment of the game is wasted by the attitude that players never have anything of value to contribute.

For those on Test, a salute for your efforts.

For those on the development team that ignored them yet again, a nice icepack for your latest self-inflicted black eye.

When I saw this post, in light of the changes today, I had to laugh out loud.

Given the current status of invalid vs. valid pets today, it's more clear than ever that the creator of the BE cloning system is so far in the weeds it's not funny.

I'll say it again just for another laugh "Why is there a test center?"

Good points.

Right now the only thing the TC does is serve warning for what people need to adjust for or when to make large stockpiles. The only thing good to come from the TC is a warning "Make a bunch of schematics now cuz X is about to be nerfed."

And the great thing is they make people pay to use the TC.

To whomever 1-starred me:

You pay $14.99 a month to play this game.I've played MMORPGS before, although this is my first experience with Sony. If it wasn't for the Star Wars genre and the whole tease of Jedi, how many people would still be paying the monthly fee? Honestly? There are a lot of other fun diversions out there.

Bottom line - bugs like this shouldn't make it to live.
