I have yet to manage an 88 in BSN... however I am currently getting NB:87 using current resources on Ahazi. Stats are as follows FL/PE/OQ:

Organic: 948/907/965

Floral: 948/907/965

Creature: 781/972/676

I substituted a better creature with stats of 928/795/867 but was still left with NB:87

I hope this helps.

If you ever come accross wood with very high OQ, say 990, use that for the organic, as wood has no PE or FL. The real problem is the meat. Meat rarely has one high stat let alone all 3. If you manage to get great flora all in the high 900s and great OQ wood with meat again all in the high 900s you can pull off a 89. Most of my stuff falls into the 83-86 region mostly because of the low quality meat that I need in high quanity.

Price, quality or quanity. Pick two and do without the third.

I always thought using a resource that did not contain one or moreof the attributes used to determine experimentation bonuses was bad. Can you explain in more detail how using Wood in this case with only OQ affects the final result vs using a resource with all 3 attributes.

Thank you

You can use 2 current spawns on Bria atm to make 88's actually just wish I had some Olen left might get 89's

Vihow and Osnema stats are DR/FL/PE/OQ

Vihow 836/986/854/1000

Osmena 905/658/993/999

From everything that I have been able to figure concerning this... If you use a resource that does not contain certain stats, then those stats are not included in the equation. You would get something like this:

Example 1: with all stats available:

Resource 1: 999/999/999

Resource 2: 900/900/900

Resource 3: 900/900/900

Final total: 933/933/933 (add all three numbers for each stat and divide by 3)

Example 2: With only OQ stat available:

Resource 1: 000/000/999

Resource 2: 900/900/900

Resource 3:900/900/900

Final total : 900/900/933 (the stats that do not exist are not included in the equation and so you would add the ones that do exist and divide by 2. In this case only the third stat wasaffected by the numbers in resource 1)

I don't know if this is how it actually works, but something of this nature seems to be in place... and granted different amounts of resources used in each category will affect the numbers. These examples assume the the exact same quantities are used with each resource. I hope this helps.

Well using wood is tricky in how it can work. Just to further the example given above:

Resource 1 (wood): null/null/900

Resource 2 (flora food): 900/900/900

Resource 3 (meat): 900/900/900

Total Average: 900, ie can experiment up to 90%.

Note null is not 0 in this case, it is ignored. Now say you had an additive that took any organic, ie no meat or flora needed.

Resource 1 (wood): null/null/900

Resource 2 (flora food): null/null/900

Resource 3 (meat): null/null/900

Total Average: 300, ie 30% exp.

You get the drop to 300 because it is an average of 3 values, two of which is null and has nothing to fill in the null blanks. So when using this trick you need to be careful to make sure that the attribute you are needing is present in something. I believe this was a bug that stay because when it was fixed on test center everyone had a fit over it and it stayed in.The problem is some resources simply do not have the property the schematic calls for. So a zero value rather than a null value that is ignored kills certian items, say crafting tools that call for chemical but only counts conductivity for it's quality.

hmm.....

Never actually tried this.

I am trying to think of a schematic where such a thing could happen.... perhaps one of the medic inorganic/organic pe/oaq ones...just want to confirm for myself.

The health drink similar to brandy, grameral (sp) is currently nerfed to uselessness because of this problem.

I actually have that health drink on Tarq, and it is the same stats as my braddy (410) but for 35min instead of 45 min...Not a useless if you ask me.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell

using a resource that does not have a used stat causes that resource to not be counted at all for that stat. It is a null. In the above example, that would be a bad thing. In practice however, finding a resource with 3 999 relavent stats is pretty rare. If you come across something like that then sure, it would be better to use. However, it would be better to use oaq 900 wood (for instance) than oaq 1000 PE 100 Flavor 500 berries in a recipe where you could use either one.
