I read the FAQ section on skins, and I was wondering what skin most BE's consider the best.

Gurrecks.

They, according to CH I sell them to, are the fastest skin.

I havent did any tests personally, however according to my PA leader (MCH), the Gurrecks were suppose to be the fastest.

I believe she was clocking them based on how well they kept up with her speeder bike.

Prior to that I was under the impression that all cats were the same.

Of course, that could still be the case I'm just relating what I heard

As I'm working my way up the experimentation tree, I've made a couple of Tybis since they are the only decent cats I can make so far.. (Beared jax??)

I've been happy so far with their speed, but haven't compared them to any others, obviously.. so nice info. Thanks.

Hi,

Personal preference was Cu Pa's (mid range speed and mountable)till Clone Eng 2 then Gurrcats (for speed while hunting) all the way up to Clone Eng 4 where you get a wider range to choose from.

In general I go by what the customer wants. Cat's are popular, especially mini GSP's, however I've done most of the skins for customers at some point.

Yes no telling for peoples taste some times why have a slow creature that blocks your field of view, that was the one thing I liked about the pet nerf is I didn't have to look at furry butts(Grual Maulers) anymore.

I'll just say cats as a MBE/MCH haven't really noticed any difference in speed between a razor cat and a gurreck. Now if I could just get my razor cats to be as big as a GSP I would be happy.

Im a MCH, and use Gurrecks, Gurrcats, Narglatches, and Razor Cats...and I can tell you that they are all identical in speed. If I pull out one Gurreck and one of any other of these cats, they all keep the exact same pace.

SInce I've worked thru BE and going for CH,as well ashavingbeenMCH on another server since August, I have as personal preferance stayed with cats as well. Gurrcats you can make quite early in BE tree and as others have stated all cats are same speed (fast), but I prefer Gurreck skin over gurrcat or razorcat, probly because my first decent tame with my old MCH was a GrandWrix which I still have. They hesitate when you first command to attack, but after they acknowledge your command with a roar, they are on top of your prey in no time flat. For mounts, CuPas and Bantha's seem to remain top sellers, although people still like Bols and Dewbacks.

Razor cats are the most asked for i find, ye gurrecks (imo) are the best due to speed.

But i get asked for many things, but never a graul so far.... could it be CH were as sick of them as everyone else?

I'm glad to see that Gurrcats are among the 'fast' group. I like the idea of a small speedster that packs a whallop.

Kinda off topic, but speed-related story...

Sunday, I was heading to ward our city of Estellarum on Naboo and passed a Swamp Stalker. It was a bit unusual to see one spawn out in the grassy plain, so I did a 360 to be sure. Yep.. Swamp Stalker. OK, np.. it's attacking, but I turn and head for home.

A short time later, as I neared the edge of town, I notice a red dot on my overhead radar. The danged thing was pacing me!! here I was on a Speeder (not a swoop) and it was right on my tail. So I told my G/F on Teamspeak to watch me pass by and see if she spots the red. She's safe in her shop, but she sees it on my tail as I pass by.

Again.. no problem.. I'll lose it in the river. I cross the river.. it crosses at the same speed! Wicked.

OK.. this is interesting, but since I was on my BE and she can't fight, I decide I have to lose it somehow.

I re-cross the river and begin winding through houses trying to break line of sight. Finally, I lose it and we peace out.

It is standing next to my chef shop so I swing around back and tell my G/F I'm going to get smoe payback.

Right then, it vanishes.. I look at my target HAM bar and notice it was 576m away! It had respawned back home.

So it had stalked me for over 576m !! I had gone an extra 100 m or so past this distance when I crossed and recrossed the river.

Amazing. Speed and Endurance.

Wish I could make one.
