I know, every profession can say this about one thing or another...but theres two things that concern me.

1) We didn't have NPC trainers in cities weeks after anyone else

2) We have no skill tapes/armor attatchments

Theres also issues of invaild pets, etc, but those seem the two most obvious ones.

Whats the deal?

What the hell are you talking about? We had an entire monthly publish dedicated to our profession. The BE crafting changes that occured in that publish were revolutionary. Wegot a lot of love on that publish, and this profession is very playable.

No matter how much love we get, there is always some sniveling little kid whining about not getting any. Prissy kids never stop complaining.

Lack off trainers relly dosnt prove one thing, and if im not misstaken there are more trainers added now ? And even if there are a lack off trainers i cant see why it would add up to the devs hating us ? (So what that you have to take 1 extra shuttle to reatch a trainer, big deal)

Lack off skilltapes could be for several reasons , like how it will effect the making off pets ( dont think the devs whant us to make even better cl 10s) I bet we wount see anny skilltapes for bes untill the fixed the valid check system.

Whoa, calm down there champion. No need to get out of line here. As much as this post sounds like a huge whiney complaint, its really not. At least I don't think so.

The "guide" that they put together was, in fact, all on the boards beforehand. Nothing really accomplished there.

Second of all, which monthly publish are you talking about? I don't seem to remember a whole publish dedicated to BEs.

I think everyone should understand that the devs love SOE, not the players. BE did get some serious attention in November (was it that long ago??), so we're not in the pipeline for a LOOONG time for anything substantial, even fixes. Everyone is equally (un)loved.

"We got a lot of love from the Devs"...

They took one badly implemented, half thought-out system and replaced it with one that has SOME significant improvements, but is otherwise just about as seriously flawed as the previous system overall. They did makemajor strides, but the follow-through and tuning that wasand still is, months later, so obviously needed is still absent.

The frustration is that BE has so much potential, and so much that makes it a fascinating profession, that it is severly painful to deal with the obvious "broken" parts of the profession and crafting system. The list of problems and issues in the BE profession is fully as long as that of the improvements, and MUCH longer than the list of things that seem to work in a consistant, logical and reasonably fitting manner to the environment and gameplay in general. I won't bother to enumerate, that is unnecessary with the general content of the board here; the salient point is that BE is at best half-finished as a profession, and we are left to fend for ourselves with little or no feedback, support or progress on the issues that need addressing.

Complaining about things that are working but which we would rather have made easier or simply given to us without effort or tradeoff on our part (We HAVE to know the CL of a creature, but without mastering scout where the information IS given to those who elect to spend the skill points in that discipline) might be defined as whining, justifiably. Asking, rhetoricly or not, if the Devs hate us based on the current state of the profession and the painfully obvious work that remains to get it up to workable, is quite clearly not the same.

Flaming someone for asking if we're ever likely to get the help or attention we need because several months ago we got a FEW of the issues addressed and a new system, replete with new flaws, installed, is at best a questionable use of your time.

I think that part of the flamey-ness of some of the posters arises from the fact that some people follow the state of the game very closely, while others focus on playing the game (without looking behind the scenes, reading interviews/posts from SOE folks, etc.). There's nothing inherently right or wrong about either. I think that the folks who follow the state of the game may get frustrated more quickly with threads like this, because they already know the answer (there won't be any development cycles available for BE issues for a long time; at the earliest it would be the mini-publish after publish 10. If we don't see the fixes we need before publish 11, cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war).

Also, they are long-time BEs who remember how absolutely unbearable the profession was in August of 2003; compared to that situation, the profession IS pretty decent. However, people coming to BE after the revamp might actually have a more balanced view. To someone used to a horrible system, a flawed system looks like heaven. Someone coming froma working system would view a flawed system as, well, flawed.

So, to sum up: flames bad, fixes good. In fact...
