I got my holocron for Christmas, and it said Bio-Engineer wooooooouuuuooo.(that is the mysterious voice part)
And I knew the first time I stabbed a lesser womp rat that this was a keeper, I have had more fun killing stuff with my needles than my FWG5! As for the rest all I can say is TGIM. (M=Macros) Anybody else feel the same or did everyone else pick this on their own?

hmmm.... I got BE for a holo too.... and my first one at that.... anyways, I am actually liking BE (I love making uber pets), though I will probably drop it for bounty hunter (yes, I am doing BH for FUN!) because I never finished BH from a very long time ago. I am almost master BE too, only took me 2 weeks of casual play. Funny though, the holo made me realize a crafting profession can be fun.

I can say will regret dropping it though.

yeah its odd... i got BE as my first holo too and i had a friend who originally took up BE and then dropped it half way through. he then scared me with tales of staying up late grinding and it being the most boring profession. but yeah, like most people i've quite enjoyed it. but i doubt i'll stay master for long. im just going to stockpile loads of tissues/nutrients/cool pets (in case I do tailor / chef / ch) and then drop it for commando

My first holo said Medic, Second said Bounty Hunter. Three months later i opened my third which said Commando. I opened my fourth a few weeks ago to see "Pikeman". I'd seen a bunch of people asking for BE's in Theed on my server, and I'd always been attracted to the CH profession. Kinda decided not to do the fourth holo and climbed up the BE tree pretty quickly (really no need to document research on pets when you're leveling BE since half the assemblies fail and the experimentation point bonus at master makes all the difference). Just signed my first BE contract last night, and (for the moment) I'm loving this profession. The only frustrating thing was when I was grinding my sampling tree, I crafted some gnorts for a fellow guildie to grind his CH xp with. Several of them (using yard trash) came out as level 2 pets, and out of 18 total, 3 were declared invalid (he chose to alter creature level). Oh well, tissues are my bread and butter. Wish I had some great recipes for pets, but most of the people here feel it's secret information. Guess that's their perogative...

I don't know if I would call it secret information I just know half the fun for me was spending time on swgcreatures.com and figuring out what I could mix together to get what the client asked for. Granted this can also be frustrating for some especially figuring out how many exp point to put in what to hit the cl desired but that's what keeps my vendor stocked...chuckle

Oh and on the original question MBE/MCH was my template from the very beginning.

I just picked up BE a couple of weeks ago after deciding I needed it to support my chef-char in training as well as make BE stuff for my GF's tailor. The bonus of exploration and making pets were adders for the choice. I am totally enjoying data colelction and am compiling my own statistica database for use later on to design pets with custom-requested stats.

Anyway.. as for holos?

I have never erad one. 3 characters and several holos (Xmas, etc). But I never liked that game implementation and have been ultra-vocal against the holy-grind (as I call it). BE is a chosen professon for me.

Next thing I know I have over a million credits and loving the challenge. It's hard to drop, but I am planning on it real soon.

Yup, BE was my christmas Holo. After starting BE realized that it was going to take a while, so I decided to forget the hologrind and just play the game!....

Mastered BE about 3 weeks ago, and can't bring myself to drop it. So instead I finally got a factory and am pumping out tissues for credits.

I am getting tired of the same ole /tell "can you make me an uber non CH bet". I've started to leave my tag as sniper instead of BE b/c all people seem to want these days are non ch's...and I"m tried of trying to make them! Cept for that cool Cupa recipie
