I've written a little program for those less mathamatically minded of us

Basically it takes into account all the formulas we have and does the work for us

In this very limited version you may input the DNA templates for the 5 slots and it will tell you the initial and maximum possible values for each of the 5 attribute pairs.

*Planned updates
- experimentations
- resists
- backwards engineering

Hey, that's pretty neat!

The only thing missing is after you type in all your values and hit next, all the sample icons should disappear and you get a text popup saying "Critical Failure"

Very nice! A little painful to fill in (I still prefer my excel spreadsheets), but still a good job.

You can tab between fields just like in a spreadsheet

Yes, but you can't tab from slot to slot, or say, copy entire rows if only a couple of values change... or even see immediate results (such as just filling in all the fortitude values).

Please don't take this as criticism, it's a nice app and you obviously put a lot of work into it. I'm just saying that I can do this much in easier in a spreadsheet, after all, data matrixes are exactly what they're built for.

All critisism is welcome, if this isnt something people want to use then thats cool too - maybe you will like it more when I add more features eh?
Like I said this is just the first version - and tbh, I did it while I was waiting for the servers to come back up but if enough people think its worth it then I'll keep working on it and I'm open to sugestions on features that need adding.
So is this useful to anyone? If so what feature would you most like to see added next?

Hi NancyJ,

Couple of quick points.

A) I used an example with dependability values greater than 1000. The result seemed to be 0 - 0 on the final tample data.

B) Not clear how to set the armor value for input on the DNA samples.

C) The FAQ has data on how to determine resists using special vs effective. Any chance of seeing this show up?

The armour value isnt used in any calculations yet so thats disabled - (are there any calculations that use it?) but if the final combine has an inital or max fortitude over 500 then it will show light armour (*light for max but not initial)

I will look at the >1000 dependability issue - thanks for the feedback mirrl -really appreicated.

Resists coming soon - soon as I get my tiny little brain around them heh - since thats the first sugestion I'll work on that now for the next version

On tabbing to a new stat, it would be nice to have the number 0 autohighlighted. That way, we can type in the number, and not have to hit delete to get rid of the 0.

Hitting Enter when you are entering the DNA stats, to be like clicking next.
