I can't imagine any profession that wouldn't want more business
I think that a lot of this craze over skill attachments and skill-modded clothes decaying would be mitigated if Bio Engineers could craft all skill attachments. I'm not a BE, but I'd love to see this ability added, without requiring ultra-rare loot-only stuff. Maybe somewhat rare resources like those needed to make a T21 rifle...a challenge to find but possible for pretty much anyone.
A huge reason skill attachments are selling for such crazy prices (especially those +25 ones that for some reason were dropped from loot tables) is that they're loot only. Granted, some items probably can't be made craftable, because it wouldn't make too much sense...like holocrons for example (not saying I like the way they were implemented, but I can't deny that it'd be a little weird if players could make them)...
It'd be a cool ability to add to the BE profession in my opinion. After all, they did suffer a long time with the whole creature level deal that didn't get resolved for a while...maybe it's time for BEs to get some lovin

What the Creature Level thing was fixed???
Since when?
Only thing that is happening now, is that Created Creatures might not even be usable. And also the fact that there is no way to control the Creature levels very well.
But thats becasue the Bio-craft system makes it so each time we experiment we alter two stats at a time randomly with no control, which may or may not screw up everything else. Becasue the engine is set up to lower a stat when another is raised.
Nice and sad...should have allowed people to alter each stat individualy and have no upper limit to the stats we modify that way, or else let people alter each stat but give more experimentation points.
But anywise....Yeah that would be a neat thing to be able to make attachments that modify more things on people.
But I doubt a Bio_engineer will ever have that....the developers like to give all the abilities to all the other proffessions first....and then make merfs to the bio-engineer claiming they make too much experience or some other off the wall claim.
yeah a cup of tea makes 700 exp, at the highest levels a bio-engineered creature gives 500.
Go figure...
And we make too much experience????

yah, the be grind is pretty insane....
i think it would be neat to craft other player mods, like our tensile resist, but in the same fashion
+4 maxon the really beneficial mod (melee resist) and +17 on the other mod (stun resist)
although theoretically tensile resist made with perfect materials could yield +5/+20
obviously many mods shouldn't be made, like unarmed damage or any speed mod in general
i think a general accuracy mod, a ranged defense (to shadow the current melee defense)
perhaps an aim/warning shot to compliment intimidate/warcry

a good idea to propose to the devs i think.... /rubs chin
