Thread: We need fisheries!!
yah, a boat so we could go deep-sea fishing or the shellfish harvester yeild fish or a new instrument similar that just gets fish
i'm not sure how, but something does really need to be done about this

I hardly think the income lost from fish, eggs, and milk would hurt anybody...seeing there's so little of it being sold. I offered everyone in my town (85 residents) 100 credits per unit of this fish meat. I got 3 people - 2 of which did it for about 2-3 hours and hung it up. Why? Because you can make millions by harvesting good herbivore meat for doctors or any kind of high quality meat for chefs in the same amount of time. Folks aren't fishing or gathering milks or eggs in any quantity for a livelyhood...because it's just not worth the time investment. Even if we had nets - made by tailors perhaps, so we could gather larger quantities (just the meat),or we had to use the nets next to a psuedo harvester, like a processing plant - made by architects or artisans or droid engineers or whatever, anything other than trophy fishing for quantities of meat has to be better than what we have now. Then I could trophy fish for fun - or to sample the fish on a planet - and gather in quantity via another method.
Granted, boats would be fun, but I'm noteven going to ask for something that would take that much coding.
In an hour's time, I can gather about 150-180 units of fish meat. Even if we rounded that up to 200 units per hour to make things easier, it would take me 6 hours to accumulate enough fish for a crate of D pet stims. That's pretty extreme.
