Well, just started of as a BE and thought I'd pop by to see any helpful guidelines and tips (wich I must say I have found plenty - nice )

I do however have a few questions. (If I have overlooked the answers in the former threads please forgive me) I do hope you will take your time to sort them out for me.

First of.. as a BE with (yet) only 2 exp points - what is considered a decent/good pet? (I wouldn't want to sell some icky quality pet)

Second.. yes the dreaded question is .. Say for a lvl 22-25 pet with 9KH, 9KA, 8KM, 58-60% Kin res, NO armor, dmg 300-310ish and 350-360ish (random specials) what would be a fair price ( and would it be decent to sell these pets at all?)

Third.. does the skin you choose have ANY effect on the creature you create= Like the speed of the creature?

Fourth.. Is there any specific creatures I should go for to sample (regarding specials and armor)

I will proberbly spam these forums with questions, since I've fallen in love with this profession - so my appologies beforehand if I have missed the answers elsewhere. Anyway hoping on and looking forward to your replies.

Regards

Short answer: None

You likely wont be making any good pets at your level. When you can make good pets via better DNA and more exp points you are going to want to have kinetic as close as 60% as you can get it.

For PvE you will also want armor along with a min of 8k hams (10k/9k/9k preferred).

Damage usually doesnt matter much.

Attack speed you will want to keep low and keep the to-hit as high as possible so the pet can maintain "aggro"

For specials you will want intimidate, posture down, dizzy, or KD.

The rest are useless.

Depends of your server I would charge 50k for that pet. If it's damage was over 400 I would charge 75k. I makes pets like those all the time on Bria and I cant keep them stocked.

Third.. does the skin you choose have ANY effect on the creature you create= Like the speed of the creature?

Yes. Cat skins are the fastest followed by dog skins I believe (dont quote me on it **wink**).

Skins also have an effect on the min CL of the pet as well as if it is aggro or not.

Fourth.. Is there any specific creatures I should go for to sample (regarding specials and armor)

BMB (black mite burrorows), FG (freizied Grauls), AG (Ancient grauls), Merek Harvesters, King Mereks, Mutant Rancors are among a few you will be getting to know quite well

Short answer: None (the pets below Ive made with 2exp points - so they arent good? A tad confused here)

One VERY different opinion on pets. ANY pet you can make, probably the cheapest things you can do, like Gnorts or other low-cost pets, can be put on the bazaar for those grinding CH to tame and train for exp. Packs of 10 gnorts or whatever are nearly 10K exp for a mid-level CH, and they will also help you to learn about combines and resists, etc.You can finance your grind by trading pets for resources for CH grinders, and a packful of pets can teach you a lot and sell for 100K or more to a CH Hologrinder that wants to get quick exp.

Meanwhile, USE those two exp points to get a feel for what they do - change something, make a pet, and see how it differs from the last one. Master BE is a LOT more than getting the title, an if you intend to remain a BE and make pets, there is just no substitute for experience. Getting that experience while it is giving you exp towards the title is not entirely a bad thing..

I wasnt aware that the pet you listed below was one you made by yourself.

If you indeed did make a CL22-25 pet with 9k/9k/8k HAMs, 58-60% kinetic and 300-310 damage that would be a sellable pet.

No, I'm sorry, I'm not MAD, just a little odd, maybe a little off too, but not mad

1) a decent pet is one you would use, for the level...but....anything, yes anything you make is bazaarable for 2-6K

2) as above, any are sellable, problem may be finding a buyer in the beginning if too good for the bazaar (in your or my opinion)

3) yes, aKimogilla cannot be made under level 40 even using Gnort DNA (i know, you didn't ask)

Cats are fastest,I believe Gurrcats are the fastest cats.

4) Yes indeedy, SWBE.MMOSPY.com and SWGCREATURES.COM are your friend as well as anything you find in these here hallowed pages.

5) Don't tell anyone, but sometimes a pet stim really does work on a Bothan and the other scaley dudes *wink*
