Thread: Creating lvl 35 pets using Narglatch Hunter and Guardian DNA Update
Wait for the new buff - been pushing mine to level 37 with exp (as you mentioned) and without the buff have varied from CL33-36.

After being quite successful making lvl 35s with 5 narglatch DNA templates, I thought to go back today to get more samples to replenish my vendors. My attempts were quite interesting. Even using 5 VHQ samples and putting them in the best slots to maximize their stats, AND experimenting 6 points into Psyc and Ment, I was unable to pass lvl 34. Now, these lvl 34s have better stats than my previous lvl 35s, but it seems the ability to push thenhigher in levelis gone. You could exp a point into agression which im sure would put them to high, or a point or two in to Phys or Prow with a corosponding drop in health. When I get a break from work I'll experiment some more and run the numbers through naMessiahs calc, though I think that tool may not be sensitive enough to be helpful.
I hate the thought of loosing that niche or finding a new recipe, so I'll be on it soon.

DNA seems to be in a constant state of flux, I think this is so we cannot make pets with a dedicated recipe or the devs just hate us that much.
Make your 34 then on the next one after exp'ing psych and mental same as the first, try throwing one ptin either phys or prow and see if you don't get a 36. Might not be able to make perfect 35s but a 34 and a 36 or a 33 and a 37 are basically the samething - stats are pretty much the same only CL is different.
Without buff I'm ranging from 33-36(with/without exp)on Test Center. With buff I'm getting 37s. I don't think any of us has the answer.
Yes you do sound ignorant.
Thatsomething that was able to be done as early as last week, will now require a buff to accomplish, doesn't sound like a great boon. It sounds to me as if in order to hit the results I'm used to getting ill now need to work harder for it. I don't have a problem doing what it takes to achieve my ends but it does become more complicated if I need to find an ATK dancer every time I want to sample. That is, mind you, if what I experienced wasn't ananomaly but in fact the new reality for narglatch DNA. If it was just a fluke than its biz as usual.
BTW my original post wasn't a whine but a notice to those who have customers who demand tight CL numbers as I do.
Thanks for your insight.
Calm down guys and gals. I've been sampling on TC without the buff and with a little experimentation been hitting 35-36. Without exp it's been 33-34. With the buff w/wo exp it's been 37 with a occasional 38.
I think the new ability system is effecting our DNA. If you look at the critters that havein-born Level 1 abilities, most if not all are found on Naboo. Any changes to wild critters is going to effect our DNA, even DNA from critters that cannot be tamed - and they have been tweaking the former/current elites behind the scenes. That is going to have an effect on our DNA samples as well.
While I seriously doubt the devs are trying to swing their mighty nerf bat at us, I do believe that they do not take into consideration what their changes/tweaks to wild critters do to the DNA we sample. We're kinda the forgotten profession - but we do have med crafting. ![]()
LOL, I AMa Master Dancer and on TC I am a quad master entertainer but NO ONE is forcing me to get a buff - I got one to see how it effected pet crafting - that was before the drop in resource % - probably should try it again now that it has been lowered.
If the lowered % gives us a better result given the vagaries of DNA lately then use it, if you tried it and didn't like it - it's not broccoli so you don't have to have it. I think we really won't be able to tell until the buffs hit live - perhaps Thursday.
Is there an entertainer with some really big friends forcing you to get a buff from them? Do they sneak up on you and buff you while you aren't looking? Or perhaps while you are loading in? No? Why then are you worried about the buffs?
If you need to bump something up a little, then get a buff. If not, then don't. Simple. The buffs shouldn't change your current ability to make whatever you are making, but in fact will enable you to do a greater variety of things. That lvl70 recipe that keeps comming up 68 or 69 may just become a 70. That lvl34 may just become a lvl35. But just think of it as an option.
All pet crafting depends upon the numbers. Don't look at quality or even what the DNA came from. Yes, people say use this or that in this slot or that slot, but really, anything with the same numbers will work. Just look at the numbers. That is why second, third or even greater generations are usefull to the addicted cloner. You can make the numbers fit any way you want! Its a math game and you have to figure out what works best for you as a crafter.

No, I'm sorry. This is wrong.
You DO have to like brocolli. Or at least HAVE IT ON YOUR PLATE. Yes, good. Now one little taste. No, a proper taste that was just putting your tongue on it. Look, you don't have to run screaming to the bin with your tongue hanging out scraping it with your fingers - it wasn't THAT bad ...
sheesh
Oh man - had to edit this because I read you wrong Cin. Yes you do have to have it but you don't have to like it. But only if it is brocolli. Or carrots... not buffs.

Okay, i don't know about the broccoli (though I DO like broccoli
) But...
For thelast week, the times I've made critters, the levels on those critters were regularly lower. My 23's turned into 21's, my 35's turned into 33's, and my 70's would come out as low as 66.I did everything exactly asI had been, andI couldn't find anything astoundingly different about the stats onmy templates or the end result critter.Only thing I could figure, after reading about the new buffs here, its an attempt to balance what will happen with them in place. As to make it possible to acheive our goals without too many overages.*gasp* They might actually be trying to help us.Though, these are just my speculations, and I even think I'm getting a little too hopeful.
