Please don't flame me for asking such a basic question.
Just started BE and have done a bit of dna sampling. I have some meat etc but when I go to crafting it asks for a generic dna sample. Nothing appears in my ingredients inventory despite having some dna samples in my normal inventory.
What do I need for the generic dna section in crafting?
Please bear in mind I'm only really used to crafting the odd camp etc and those medic stims I needed to get novice.

u use the dna smaples to make the genetic template, the template is used in the creation of the creature, that simple

I thought it would be something simple lol.
ok......how do I change the dna sample into a template? Not sure if my crafting tool will allow that.....
Apologies again for such a daft question but as I said all this is very new to me.

u use a chemical food crafting tool, clicl on genetics tab when craftin session starts, select genetic template, and fill each box with a dna sample, dont ask me which sample is best in each slot, im still reading and trying to find that myself.

Or a General Droid/Weapon etc. one. I do all my crafting with a general tool and general station.

Have fun with it and get some Hunters on a payroll. It takes about 200k of meat/hide and about 120k of Flora to grind out three trees without creating creatures. The sampling tree is by far the easiest.

I apologize in advance for asking what is likely to be an annoying question for people that know more about weapon crafting than I do. I wasn't able to find the answer to my question in my brief scan of your forums.

Could someone please tell me a bit about powercells, and reinforced casings? Are they used interchangeably? In different weapons? Can they both be used in the same weapon? Which is better?

All this is aimed at my desire to have a VERY good rifle, so I guess the simpler form of this question is, "What do you think I need to bring to a WS in order to get the very best rifle I can have?"

Again, really sorry for the irritating question, it even irritates me, and I'm sure that this variety of question would incite all kinds of flaming on some profession forums, especially Jedi.

Have a look at this thread, it list every enhancer ingame and wher ethey are used.

Also I would suggest using Powercubes as they have an added sac reduction and thusmakes a better rifle. That is of course unless you can get your hands on some really highend tissues (190+)

If speed is of consern get hold of some BH looted Advanced weapon scope as they have a speed bonus and only slightly lower accuracy than what can be crafted.
