Thread: Suggestion to add to BE's for CH's
When I first had this idea I though that maybe having an NPC do this might be a better idea, but I think a master BE should be able to do it. If there is a problem with passing potentially high-level pets to a BE then perhaps the NPC is still a viable solution.
I also think that pet deeds should be tagged as “Entities” for the bazaar and vendor sorts. It would make it easier to find them while searching for them on a multi-purpose vendor.
Thanks for listening,

I like the idea of simply allowing the BE to "shrink" the CH's pet into a deed, but it would have to have a confirmation box that pops up to the actual owner to keep people from greefing. Maybe make it so the CH (or pet owner) and the BE have to be grouped. I still think that they should only be able to deed a pristeen baby, for simplicities sake.

I would have said it's better if they are actually matured, for two reasons. Firstly is that a fully grown pet is more valuable than a baby, sometimes customers I've had wanted to use thier pet right away but were surprized that the clone was a baby. Also the concept of freeze-dried-pets-to-go means that you could give a CH a clone to train, then you take it back and let them grow in your datapad. Once they're matured you turn them into something which can be sold on the vendor, realistically I think you don't even need to turn them back into deeds since you'd simply need to make changes to the vendor/bazaar database to accept data items. If they wanted to be extra nice then it would be great if pets from someones datapad could be dropped in houses, people have been asking for museums and zoo's for a while now after all.
If the devs felt that giving extra pet storage space was a bit too much then perhaps something can be done to the datapad pet making it into a generic item which can be dropped but can no longer be used as a pet.
