Maybe they're getting rid of the correspondents in general....
But, you may ask, without the correspondents, how will SOE maintain control of the forums?
The devs and admins will now have direct control over the forums. Fear will keep the posters in line.....fear of more upgrades!
But dont be so proud of this technological travesty you've hastily and shoddily thrown together ad-hoc by committee, SOE Marketing. The ability to destroy a game is insignificant next to the power of the Nerf

Well I'm sure they have other things on their mind ATM like trying to balance the planets they hadn't already done on TC before it's too late...Im not surprised they haven't offered the opening, but then I'm not concerned by it either...

I know Arthur was a really good correspondant and yet he quit before his time was up. This does not make it sound like it would be a very GOOD thing to do. And yet ... the chance to get to be the voice of BE certainly is a temptation for me.
Honestly speaking - anyone else?

Hit me, beat me, make me the BE Correspondant
Personally I don't want it. Too much work, not any reward except from the players....that's if you can do a good job..otherwise it'd be tar and feathers

Well...after saying in Arthurs thread that I probably won't be running...I received an email from a member of this community who suggested I 'try for it'...so I am seriously considering it. My main concern was whether my accounts would still be around, however, having just unlocked Jedi, I am confident I shall be around long enough to do the 6months of Correspondent at least
AFAIK only Arthur and I applied last time, but this time it looks like more people may be interested
If I do decide to apply...I'll let you know.
Also I've decided on my templates for the CURB...it is going to go something like this...
Lloyd: MRifles/CM (Picking up jedi when I get it, and unlock to same tamplate)
Buttercup: MBE/MCH/Ranger 0030 (I just hope the pets I made last nite b4 the CURB convert ok as the pet crafting system seems b0rked.)

I'm waiting for the official announcement, but I'll be applying.
until then, I'm writing, editing, and throwing away application letters.
