I have a blast combining and experimenting with different types of DNA just to see what comes out. I don't play BE for the money. If I was only interested in credits I'd be an armorsmith or a chef.

for me its the pet crafting

as others have said, if I was after money, I'd have taken up another profession, but non of them compare to the fulfillment I get out of making a unique pet.

Because there aren't many BE's around for one, and its a very cool crafting system. The variety is huge too. I go out have harvest all sorts of different stuff depending on what is good.

For one, there weren't that many around (may change now), at least compared to other crafting professions. And I really like making tissues and pets. The endless variety of possibilities in making pets is really enjoyable for me.

Because its the only crafting profession that actually needs skill and experience to be good at, all other crafters just have to is double click the sub-component or material to make something. A Bio-engineer has to know alot about not only the crafting but also the planets and species as well. Put simply, its a true crafting profession not just an exercise in double clicking icons and hording materials.

If this was posted pre-CU, I would've said that BE is a fun profession if you enjoy experimenting with different DNA samples from whever you find them. Watching a CH pull a pet from deed and taming it for the first time was very very rewarding. The emails I used to get hailing those pets will be missed dearly.

But with the changes to the game, I've thrown my hat into the bandwagon and decided to pursue other crafting classes. BE is borked and worthless now. If the changes made were done on purpose, it means no matter what we do, wild pets will always be better thanthose engineered. This will probably draw flames from the CH community, but my idea of engineering a creature means you're improving on the wild versionsfor something leaner and meaner. Giving us meds to craft isn't something I want to do, and I certainly don't want tellhell asking me to be a schematic monkey.

Sorry if I'm a downer, just saying it as I see it. Welcome to the BE profession from a MBE leaving it.

Sadly i have to agree with you on alot of this.

I'm honestly very unsure what i'm going to do with BE, but honestly the best crafting system in the game just got screwed if what happened is going to be the way that it will stay. Should the pet making system stay as it is now without vital changes, then i will probably use up the remainder of my resources for chef/tailor, pay off whatever debts i may have, and cut my losses (or tiny gains if that be the case)

Arthur--If the system is not intended to be as it is at the moment we NEED TO KNOW. Raise hell on the corro forums, pm any and every dev you can find the name of if need be, but whether the system will stay the same or change we need information.
