Thread: Pet Regen Rates

Perhaps this is more a question for the CHs, but have those of you using pets post-CU noticed a difference in regen rates between low and high HAM pets? That is, is the regen rate the same for all pets, or is it scaled by their total HAM? I'd assume the latter, if its like it is with players, where there's an (invisible for pets) secondary regen stat that's tied to hardiness.

I've heard that pets regen pretty quickly as it is, and if this is the case, then 14k HAM pets pre-CU would have such crazy regen rates that, with resists, they could probably tank just about anything short of the entire population of the DWB

If anyone could enlighten me with some results from playtesting, I'd appreciate it.

Regen is really really fast at any level pet

'Course that's only out of combat

and

there's a 60 second reuse timer on pet stims

and

med stims no longer seem to work on pets

and

there appears to no longer be any armored petsingame

and

/tellpet commands don't work (follow me and guard fixed but iffy)

to fight safely because of the above citings

my double experience bonus should jump to 2 from 1

If you're a ranged combatant make sure you root your target before you attack. Otherwise the wild animal will break aggro with your pet and attack you.

The wild animal attacks you instead of your pet because you do more damage. It goes to figure an animal is going to bite the thing that hurts it the most. In that light, pets lose much of their tanking abilities. It's almost better to respec your ranged combat to MCH/TKM since you'll be engaged in melee more often than not anyway.
