· Are you knowledgeable about the Bio Engineer profession?
· Are you a community leader?
· Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
· Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?
The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Bio Engineer Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.
Some things that you need to consider when applying:
· Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
· Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
· Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
· Please include your forum name in the letter
If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Bio Engineer Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.
After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.
We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.
Thank you.
I'm (still) interested in the position ![]()
For all of those who don't know me, I've been a BE on Test Center since early July. I worked with Talthazar when we got the update and found some of the bugged DNA as well as some of the minimum cl's for the creatures.
Nothing personal against vshbaa, but I just don't recognize you on these forums. Of the 770+ posts you have there's only about 50 on the BE forums and only 5 since the begining of the year. I don't doubt the help you've given to Talthazaar, but I just haven't seen you as an active BE community person.
I'm giving my vote to ArthurDentOnBriaif he's interested. He's been active on these forums and seems to have an even head and knows how to deal with people.

You're opinion (or mine, or anyone else's for that matter) doesn't much matter. We don't get to vote on who the next correspondant is.
Hate to tell you, butour opinionsdo matter. The current DE correspondent had the support of almost the entire DE community.
My post count doesn't matter since i'm not trying to get the job.
Show me the voting box and I will conceed the point.
You can make as many suggestions as you like but ultimately it is up to the indiviual to apply.

Actually nothing at all needs posting here - I doubt TH will return to this thread in the near future - this is just the standard cut and paste blurb about how to apply - as you may notice, applications are taken via email not forum posts.

True you are that TH may not reply or even come to the BE boards again. This is the first time he's even acknowledged the BE community since his infamous Friday Feature (not countinghis non-answer on the 19 Answer thread.)

Does cut and paste count as an acknoledgement? ...I'm not so sure, maybe we should be used to it heh
So NancyJ, did you give up BE yet, or are you interested in helping lead this red-headed step child?

If I understand how TC and corespondents work, i think corespondents have the ability to make themselves master of their profession on TC.

I hope whoever becomes our Correspondent, creates a Bioengineer on TC. That way we won't be blind when new changes go into effect. (I felt we were out in the dark when the "crafting change" almost came out)
