Hello, I know that many people are quitting the game or dropping profession but I one that have also been very interested in the BE world so I took my respec from TKM to master BE. I hate combat now and just want to craft if they would fix it so I could take my master doc to weaponsmith, armorsmith or something like that I would do that also. But back on subject. What place to you put the DNA sample when making the Generic templete that will increase the HAM of the creatures. I have read the above post and still do not understand nor did I see anything about this. My creatures are coming out level 45 or more that I am making with HAM's 1 to 2k in the health and less in the action and mind. Any advise would be great on how to get resistance and how to make a creature that is not going to get incapped in a couple of hits.

If anyone has any recipes that would help plz let me know.

Pet crafting currently is bugged, if you make a decent creature that actually can survive a few hits, it gets a level far higher than a master creature handler can control. If I were you I would concentrate on tissues and medical items currently - although some of the latter ones are bugged, too.
After less than a week in live with a buggy pet crafting system, there are no recipies around, btw

There is a great guide in the FAQ...but it isn't gonna sink in with only one brief glance...Pet Crafting is very complex...and is completely unlike other crafts.

When they finally fix pet crafting...read the FAQ go out and test a few things, then go back and read again. repeat until you have a pretty good idea.

Or rip recipes of the forums (although this will be harder now that the entire system has changed...our old recipes don't work)

The biggest block to my understanding of how to craft pets at the beginning was understanding that resistances add a lot to the pet level and they are not always needed. You'd think that something that was resistant to lots of things would be a powerful high level creature but it isn't always so. A resistance is only useful if your pet is likely to encounter that type of damage.

If you can mix and match vulnerabilities then you can lower the pet level and raise the health value. I think this observation is still true, although you will ALSO have to dilute down the fortitude by using things with fortitude 0.

Having said that, I don't know if the DNA is permanently 'broken' or this is how it is going to be from now on. I think the equations are the same and it will not hurt to study pet making technique even as a historical exercise - it is quite interesting and a lot of it still does apply.
