Thread: Confused: Did BE reqs drop down to just the medic crafting line or not?

Cause on the last day of CU testing the skills window still showed a Hunting IV requirement. So is that just a bug or did the devs silently decide not to remove the req?

I'm hoping it's a visual error cause I want to totaly drop scout and pick up smuggler :/

Fix the forums so they work properly with Firefox! PLEASE!

No, you still need Hunting.

Methinks they want to prevent dabbling for the xxx4 or x4x4.

It appears the scout req was an oversight that, like many others, was never corrected. This makes it a little more tricky for doctors and combat medics to respec their points. It isn't fair to say I'm happy about the oversight. The developers promised the crafting doctors they could still do the job they were doing before without having to expend more skill points simply by picking up BE.

Even without the Scout 0-0-4-0 needed, a Master Doc from Pre-CU can’t get BE 0-0-0-4 to craft the meds we had before.

All BE boxes in Respec are Elite boxes. You had to be Master Medic and Master Doc in Pre-CU and didn’t leave any room for any other elite professions. I did artisan with my remaining points with a little Marksman to cover my self while surveying. None of these Respec to Elite points needed for any BE boxes.

So I am left with no choice but to grind crafting again, something I hated doing the first time I did it for Master Doc.

Looks like they have screwed yet another profession with promises they made that didn’t happen in CU. At least Doc didn’t get hit as bad as a Master Dancer/Musician.

Master Doc no longer requires Master Medic. You will have to grind out some of the BE line though. You can respec some novice skills if you have enough points in the required sets. You can use regular points for elite, but it will cost you more. You can also use elite points for regular skills at a lower cost. You can also use regular or elitepoints to pick up base novice boxes as well.

Understood,

The only bright side is that your tapes should still work.
