As I troll (heh) various profession forums, I see some exclaiming how such-and-such ability is broken. They exclaim but they don't prove. Well, welcome to the world of the BE, the place where engineers, scientists and wanna-bes call home.
A valid test does not consist of a few attempts. It does consist of repetition and minimal variance. If the test kills the subject, your subjects should be as alike as possible. If it does not, you should work to ensure you use the same subject throughout the series.
If you want claims that something is broken to be taken seriously here, you have to back them up with hard data.
Since one of the current issues is whether Doc enhancers work, here is a suggestion on how to carry out the test.
Choose a doc ability to test. Here, we will choose a buff. Choose a subject, record the stats of the doc, subject and both enhancers. Remove any and all clothing or loot wearables with skill mods.
Test 1: Doc (no armor, no food, no enhancer) and subject (no armor, no food, 0 BF) (anything else?) in a non-medical center, non-medical city with a droid present.
Test 2: As test 1, using a converted enhancer
Test 3: Using a Post-CU crafted enhancer
Test 4: As test 1 but in a medical center
Test 5: As test 2 in a medical city
Test 6: As test 3 in a medical city
Test 7: As test 4 in a medical center, no droid (so it will be in a med center in a med city)
Test 8: As test 5 in a medical center, no droid
Test 9: As test 6 in a medical center, no droid
Do the same buff 5-10 times and record each result. Be sure that each time the enhancer is used that the enhancer is on the tool bar and that the enhancer is used, not the ability.
