Thread: Thinking of going BE just a few questions
1 What do you actually do?.
2. Going wookie, master creature handler / master BE good idea?
We make pets, pet meds, clothing tissues, and food enhancements.
If you are looking to get rich, might want to think again. Just about every other player is grinding BE right now. Won't do to many of them any good seeing how everbody already has a datapad full of BE pets ![]()
If you are looking for fun, I have lots of fun making creatures. I have Master/Dabbled many professions and BE is the most fun I have ever had playing SWG.

I'm Master BE and Master CH and I love the combo. I get the best of both worlds as far as obtaining the pets I want, I can either tame a wild one or make one for myself. It's also nice to be able to offer taming as a service along with a pet sale. I feel it gives me a better idea as to what makes a good pet as far a specials and general builds go, as I can use those experiments myself before I offer them to customers (or let them know what I think worked best/didn't work).
After Master BE I found it difficult to advance very far in any combat profession aside from CH (they didn't feel complimentary to me), and still be useful in group combat. I'm still not a powerhouse by any means, however I'm okay to solo something like Pickets.
As far as what you do when you are a BE, you have a variety of things you are able to sell - tissues, pet stims, vitality packs, and pets. Some choose to make/sell all of what a BE can make. I'm geared more towards the CH side as I sell pet food and camps by the crate (suprisingly those sell very fast), pet vitality packs, pet stims (I stick to B's and sometimes C's as I try to keep resource requirments down), and of course pets. I am not actively making bio-tissues as my life (RL) is pretty busy right now and I just don't have the time to gather all the resources of those too, however when I do make them I sell them only to tailors (better because they will usually want them by the crate so it makes it more worth your while).
Some BE's don't make pets, they just stick to tissues, some only make pet stims. It's really up to you what part of it you enjoy.
Pasey makes a good point. There is some flexibility within the profession. You can choose to do everything that the profession can do or specialize in specific areas. I tried doing it all and it was time consuming and frustrating.
Now I mainly deal with stims and CH pets and find that that is a comfortable combination. If people ask me for non-CH pets or tissues, I usually give them a few names of other BE.
