This is not a way to predict the CL...it is a way to consistently create, en masse, a lower CL by "Mixing" the DNA.
Step 1: Sample the creature you want in your template. Get alot of samples and use only one creature(you can use more than one, of course, but more complicated). I usually find a high CL creature with all the attributes I want or close to it. I go to www.swgcreatures.com for this. I fill up on samples...usually around 100.
Step 2: Create your Template. This is the trick. This is the step where the DNA starts to get "mixed". Create templates using only AAQ samples. When the AAQ samples are gone make templates using only the HQ samples. When the HQ samples are gone make templates using only VHQ samples. Use all your DNA samples. Create the templates using the usual method, placing the high hardiness/fortitude in the Physical slot and so forth. ONE EXCEPTION! Place the best Fierce/Power sample in the AGG slot first, no matter what. Even if that sample has the best Hard/Fort put it in AGG. The reason for this is...you don't want to experiment in AGG at all, ever, throughout this process. So you want as much initial power in that slot as possible. Experiment on everything else to the max.
Step 3: Create the clones. Use clones non-CH clone skins with very low CL cap.
Step 4: Sample all your clones. There should be about 20 to 25 1st Gen clones. The templates you made from the AAQ DNA will now yield AAQ, HQ and VHQ samples. Same thing with the HQ and VHQ templates you made in Step 2. You will now have many new 1st Gen samples. For example: You will have samples from a original AAQ template which are now 1st Gen VHQ samples(AAQ/VHQ1).

Step 5: Repeat step 2. This is the Mixing. Repeat step 3.
Step 6: Sample these clones. You will have samples from a 1st Gen AAQ template which are now 2nd Gen VHQ samples(AAQ/AAQ1/VHQ2).

Step 6: You should now have around 10 clones, maybe less. Sample all these.
Step 7: Create the clones in the final skin of the end product pet. This time use the samples like you would want the creature. Experiment everything except AGG. Every clone you make here will be ALMOST identical. They will be at a low CL but with all the resists and HAM and specials as the first gen clones.
You can also stop at step 6. The clones will be a higher level CL but they will still all be ALMOST exactly the same and you'll get more clones.

um...sigh....no sorry...i wish that would work.
I got someone who wanted 3 Gurrecks as close as I could get to a CL of 31 without going over.
using the same types of DNA for all my trials.
I made my first one Level 30 with 10k+ HAMs and a nice 60% kinetic with the lowest resistance being 35% and even Armor with a high damage.
So my next one, went to level 39 with real lame stats yeah about 8000 HAMs and with Armor and not many resistances.
My next one came out to 33 another one weaker then my first.
My next one was 29 again with really weak stats and no armor.
Anywise...I did this 14 times, getting random stats...
So my conclusion is that even though in a real world the idea is sound and would work the way it should...in this game there is a silly random variable put in somewhere to make things annoying.
I thought the randomness at first made it interesting, but after a while it became annoying.
As I found I could not create or predict the Creature Levels.

I wasn't saying this SHOULD work. I am saying it DOES work, for me at least. With every DNA I've tried. I've made decades of pets this way and they all come out the same CL, HAM, resists and specials. Period.
I am sharing the info, not looking for validation.

Why not experiment AGG?
I have found that this is the single highest attributor to a lower CL.
