I´m just wondering what are pets for and what can you do with them?

can they get in battle? attack others? or they just follow you.can you shoot your weapon while mounting them?

I would appreciate a little help before getting all those Xp points.

A BE can't do anything with pets but make them. You need creature handler to call and use them, at least above a level 10 pet. To answer the second part, a CH can use pets to attack in combat.

BE pets are also a fantastic source of CH XP. You can createa a bunch of low level pets from just about any DNA getting crafting XP for BE, then Tame the pet, train all the command you can train for CH and destory/release it. I got 50,000 CH XP in an hour doing this the other night.

To continue on your question, some BE'd pets, just like their wild counterparts, can be trained bya CH to be act as mounts. Creatures like Kaadus, Carrion Spats, Dewbacks, can be ridden when they grow enough and receive proper training.

While riding a mount you CAN shoot your guns, though your mount will slow while in combat, and you can't use your weapon's special attacks.

BE'd pets can be tailor made to your needs, for example, be more offensive or defensive oriented.

Luck!
