Every single player carries atleast an AR1 weapon into PvP. So does it even matter if we put Light Armor on a PvP pet. I can have a higher damage and better resists over all if I dont care about getting armor.

What do you think?

Well, without AR1 a weapon with AP1 will do 25% more damage.

Also, if the CL of the pet isn't a problem then you can easily have a pet with light armor, high resists, and lots of HAM, so why not have it?

This was something that I was wondering too, since I don't have any pvp experience. I started a thread on this last week, and we had some really good discussion.

I had an order for a CL 35pvp pet, and it was a lot of fun making it, but in the end I decided to not go the armor route, so I could add some truly remarkable offensive capabilities into it for its CL. My customer is now the proud owner of a CL 35 bunny (god help him, his idea, not mine) with a ranged attack, excellent attack speed and to-hit, and dishes out I think it was over 450 damage, and strong disease and strong poison specials. No armor, and low (under 7k HAM I believe) were tradeoffs. I wouldn't want to find myself at the wrong end of that bunny though, lol.

The only way I can do enough damage with pets in PvP is by running 3 pets with 500+ damage... I can not get 3 pets under 70 levels if they have armor.

I'm not a BE but I know they can tweek the pet stats, so I would tryto make two level 35 ( or one 65+ ) pets, light armor and specific resists for a blaster type battle : hight energy, heat, stun, elec defence and you negelect kinetic. Maybe you can keep decent damage output, I don't know, you are the master BE

Ah, your wrong. Damage has a max limit and some stats have a max limit, like Kinetic and Energy @ 60%. Light armor is almost like having 50% resists across the boad. Telling people not to bother with ar1 is bad advice. Your pets will withstand much more with armor, trust me. If the MBE is good enough they can still max out most stats with the armor and good damage.

If you dont have light armor, suddenly they get a multiplier for having an armor piercing gun to your non-armored pet which = dead pet.

Oh forgot to mention, who is crazy enough to bring out there pet in PvP. Thats just a gurantee to lose vitality regardless of how good you think your pet is. Here is the formula you use to calculate your chances in PvP:

PvP = dead pet& dead Handler 99% of the time
