Hi Everyone,
New Master BE here and I had a couple of dumb questions. I went through the grind primarily to compliment my chef character, but playing with BE last night was so much fun...I might make this my main toon
So much control in crafting, yet so much still left to chance!
So much information to learn here...I've been scouring the forums and taking it all in. One piece that I didn't find an answer to is this one:
When selecting the skin of a creature...does the quality of the meat and the flora used matter at all? In the schematic, I don't see any "modifiers"...but I thought I'd ask and make sure that I'm not gimping myself in any way by using "grinding" quality resources for the meat and the flora requirements on the final combine of the creature.
Does the quantity of meat used reflect how many second generation sub-samples that you'll get out of the new creation? I mean, I know that a lot of people use gnorts to resample from because they don't take a lot of meat...but if I used something with more meat, would I get more than 3-5 samples from it?
Thanks a ton in advance!

I've read over and over again that flora/meat used on the final skin do NOT impact the final creature at all. So I just use the extra stuff that I have accumulated and don't need specifically for Tissues.
Your question regarding sampling is interesting however, as I was making Nags and Dune lizards last night and easily sampling them for5 times each, which for me at least is unusual.
Anyone?

I'm not too sure on this...
Before the fixes there used to be Quality (66%) and Potential Energy (33%) listed. Also, I've noticed that a creature's final stats seem to increase sometimes over what are listed in the Template (Effective Resists being the most noticable). Whether it has to do with the quality of resources used or not I don't know, but personally I always try to use stuff with highOQ and PE ratings.

the devs say the quality makes no diffrence , i havent noticed any diffrence myself , so i would say no .

Here are my 2 BE cents ....
There seems to be an impact on the number of second generation dna samples available from the pet.
Maybe some other BEs could check this out.
Most time doing second generation with cheap meat and flora it seems to me that i am only able to get 2 samples even with master BE and light clothing. And in the oppposite getting 4 or more samples when using above 800 oq pe stuff.

Hiya! I spend a lot of time making CL10 or less critters and now after making hundreds of them, if I do not use creature resources and flora resources with either OQ or PE over 900, I will start getting CL11 rather then 10. Mind you I push the envelope on the stats but again, with that 1 level making or breaking a pet, it matters.

I played with this last night while making 20 Kaadu for some nut case.A guildie had been trying to pawn offher 990 oq meat to me for a healthy sum of cash, she was really getting irate whenI told her it made no difference at all in creature creation.Anyway, in the end Iended up with nearly identical stats when using 300oq, or 950oq... so I'd have to say no, in my experiences that is. But please, please, please experiment on your own too, because a concrete answer has been elusive, unless someone can find that dev post about it not mattering, that would rock!
The more testing the merrier.

The jump in resists you are seeing is from a weird rounding bug. It has nothing to do with the resources used. I still see this bug all the time, even when using the lowest quality resources.

I have found no diffrence in using low or high quality resocues. I have a stack of 100k of Endorian Eni in the bank and another stack of 50k in my inventory that i have used to make every single clone since the system patch.
I mainly stick to makeing Triplets and Duo and occasionally some big ton CL 50+ pets
I dont do special orders and just post what i feel is a good pet on my vendor.

I likewise have seen no different in resource quality used. Even with second generation harvesting, I almost always get 5 or 6 DNA from any given clone, and I generally use pitiful meat and flora for my creatures.
