Yeah, I know there will be ones that are a lot better, but I don't care, I'm proud of it.
So, here it is:
CL35 gurreck
12k/9k/7k HAM
Light armour
60% kinetic resist
330-340 damage @ 2.16, 0.3 to hit.
Special 1: strong poison
Ranged attack
was made with:
Merek harvester (VHQ) Merek harvster (VHQ)
Voritor Lizard (HQ) Seething bol crusher (AA)
Horned voritor lizard (VHQ)
I used the MH to get a decent HAM, armour and kinetic resists, the VL for an adequate mind, the ranged attack and in hope of keeping the CL down. The SBC and HVL were supposed to give strong poison and dizzy attack, but on the poison stuck
I maxed out physique, 2 exp points, and put 2 into prowess and aggression. I didn't use all exp points as I was hoping to keep the CL down, I'm prety happy with CL35.
Any thoughts on what I could have done to make the pet better?

well firstly i'll say that trying to get a special from an AA in slot 4 to carry over a VHQ in slot 5 is always going to beimprobable....even DNA that has an invalid special or no special in one of its slots can still carry over no special in that slot to the final combine. Use a VHQ SBC and a HQor VHQ HVL and you'll probably get dizzy to stick better. Or better yet, use a VHQ Rancor in slot 5 and get stun/intim to stick, much better specials =)

in my experience, ranged attack is a no-no unless your pet has high energy resists. What's going to happen is your pet will use the ranged attack, and if the opposing creatures have ranged attack they may use theirs, and your pet will lose because it is so vulnerable to such attacks.

Nice work for a 1st gen pet.
As droid said the special from slot four rarely (if ever) stick if you use lower quality DNA than is in slot 5.
Unfortunately poison tends to be not as desireable as it sounds. The ting the pet is attacking is normally dead before the poison can have a big effect. It's even worse for disease. Intimidate, dizzy, or crippling tend to do better. I've had some requests for stun, but don't know how good it does in the field.
