I am considering going BE to grind the DNA samples for FS grinding for senses. Is it a good route to go? and what is best to get samples from?

NOPE! grinding dna harvesting, as you'd find when you get into the trees, is painstakingly long and pretty much not worth your time. Additionally, i'm not sure you can even convert BE DNA sampling xp to FS xp.
On a related note, if you're looking for sense xp i believe that scout xp converts to that, and i know that with exploration 4 and some mask scent clothing i can cap my xp (only 30k, but i can get much more if it didn't cap there) just running around rancor on dath for a few hours, if that.

Is the chart of Senses in FS 1.225 million in total as well as the combat prowess and reflexes of FS?
If so, then capping 30k out and using the 1/8 conversion, it will take soooooooooooo long

You can get your DNA sampling xp converted to FS xp at 1/4 ratio IIRC. Which is pretty nice. But like Grozurr said, DNA sampling is a painful grind. I did get nice chunk of FS xp when I took an order for a pet and had to sample lots of creatures on Endor though.

I think this is a bonus for just doing business as intended, but to grind senses, nearly every other option is easier.
Creature harvesting is the fastest, IMHO, especially if you are with a large group. If you don't have the combat skills to kill rancors, offer to group with someone at one of the outposts to help that person pull higher missions. Many of those people are just grinding combat XP, so they are happy to have a way to pull better missions. Go with them, help them kill, then harvest everything that dies.
I can max sense XP in an hour that way.
Too bad I don't have any way to unlock any of the sense trees, though.
This is one of the serious problems with BE, although I don't know if it is serious enough to make top 5 this time. All BE XP converts to crafting or senses, but MBE's can only unlock combat or reflex quests.

Like Grozurr said 30K is a max for scouting xp and its not much when converted to FS xp. My personal best for senses xp is CH xp. I can max 160k CH xp in about a day or two if I am lucky enough.
Then again, docs and medics may have better luck with their healing xp for senses FS xp than CH xp...

docs calling/buffing/storing pets can rack up medical XP at a simply unholy rate - and while camping in the village, too.
